Title I Cannot Hug You Spoiler
What a disappointment if that is how they end it. They cut half the story or more out. It must not have been popular.…
Agreed! I thought there was going to be 32 episodes?! I really liked the male lead haha

Can anyone who read the webtoon tell me whether the girl qing ran has her love story with jun he? And whether…
Qing Ran doesn't exist in the webtoon, her character was created solely for the live action Chinese drama. Based on the webtoon alone, the main couple does have a happily ever after!

He's suuuuper good loooooking! At first glance, he gave off Korean aura/vibes due to his styling (10/10 sense of fashion in Good Morning Call) so I thought he was Korean with an acting career in Japan, but turned out he was fully Japanese! Others have already mentioned the obvious, he really does resemble B1A4's Jinyoung with his flower boy visuals! But for some reason, I think that his eyes also remind me of EXO's Suho (maybe the pretty double eyelids?) and his smile reminds of NCT's Mark (especially his smirks!!) at certain angles!? Either way, he's eye candy to the max! Can't wait for his future projects!

Why bad? ?
I think she phrased it wrong "I'll literally watch this just for Suhyun, even if it's bad"

Title A Love So Beautiful Spoiler
I've watched both. For the ending, i think a love so beautiful is waay better than with you. But for the whole…
Agreed, I was a little disturbed by the ending of With You but I guess it helped to portray the slightly extreme harshness of reality. The actual story of With You was still very much enjoyable though even though the romance was subtle, it was still sweet and heartwarming in many ways like Love So Beautiful!

Title A Love So Beautiful Spoiler
I couldn't even finish watching the 1st episode. I guess I'm too old for this shit and outgrew the Itazura na…
I honestly shared the same sentiment at first! The second hand embarrassment was off the charts every time I watched a scene where she humiliated herself, especially for the sake of her love interest. I wanted to scream because her actions and mess ups were beyond cringey, I couldn't stand it.

I dropped the drama for awhile until I came across the official trailer which previewed parts of their adulthood. I was intrigued to see how their characters would progress in their later life so I decided to pick it back up and continue watching. As I expected, their high school life was still slightly cringe worthy but it gets better when they move to final year of high school where they have matured a bit and seriously prepare for gaokao! I began to see their evident character development. It was subtle but I really appreciated how they enhanced the importance of the school setting, like embracing friendship and valuing education, not just silly meaningless romance. Slowly but surely, each of the characters realised their own dreams which I found to be very sweet and sentimental. And sure enough, the female lead also found her own goal which, most importantly, did not depend on the male lead because it was something that was unique to her strength and best interests. I can assure you that their character development was worth all the second hand embarrassment!

Their university and career life were much more interesting and worthwhile when they officially became a couple, in fact, it was what made the show a ten out of ten for me! Word of warning, the male lead is still a little overbearing and cold at times but he does these things for a reason. Not justifying his pettiness and for treating her like trash in the earlier episodes, but if you watch his monologue from his own perspective at the end, it gave the audience a really sweet insight of how he feels and why he reacts the way he does, particularly since he has difficulty in expressing his own emotions and communicating with others.

Would I rewatch this show again? Yes, but I would skip most of the high school scenes - at the same time, I wouldn't downplay the significance of their middle/high school life even if it seemed immature and childish at first. I have to admit that it really helped to deliver the innocent and naïve love story which depicted the purity of Chinese youth back in the days. Despite the immaturity and evident flaws, I'm sure the majority of the Chinese audience had their hearts captured by these nostalgic scenes. From the bottom of my heart, the show was honestly very enjoyable albeit the second hand embarrassment in the earlier episodes.

It's really difficult to imagine him in another character who isn't cold and quiet. Lol. It's like Daniel Radcliffe.…
perfect analogy hahahah

his role in A Love So Beautiful was unforgettableee! idk if i can reimagine him as a different character in future projects other than Jiang Chen because that role suited his stoic exterior so perfectly (although irl he's so cute and goofy haha)

Title A Love So Beautiful Spoiler
I think it's official - JC has completely redefined my ideal kind of guy; I love his cool, calm and collected exterior and the way he always showed special treatment and kindness/weakness towards XX. Particularly towards the last few episodes, he was so bold with his loving yet possessive statements, mixed with jealousy. That drunk scene with WBS really made my heart ache because no one else could possibly relate to the pain he went through without XX by his side. He was confused why everyone always assumed that XX loved him more, when in reality, he was actually the one who was selfishly dependent on XX. Even during their time apart, he insisted that he still had a girlfriend because he truly had faith regardless of the distance/misunderstanding. The angst made my heart tug because I really wanted the best for JC and XX~!! The development of their relationship makes my heart melt, too fluffyyy~! This drama was super enjoyable; regardless of its evident or minor flaws, this drama was a perfect 10/10 for me because it delivers a youthful, nostalgic, pure and beautiful story. The very beginning felt slow paced and the main character's communication was frustrating but everything made up for it in the end! It was an emotional rollercoaster! My favourite part was whenever we got a glimpse of JC's perspective, particularly the special monologue to the end of ep23~ he was so grateful for XX's existence and the happiness that she unconditionally provides for him, T T~

This drama is reaching its end and I'm so sad to see it finish so soon.. at first I was low key bored by the early high school episodes but it really built a solid foundation of their relationship. Although the beginning was rather slow paced, it really gives you a glimpse of their innocent and pure first love which i'm sure resonates with many chinese youth. It was sweet to witness the progress of their relationship across the timeline, particularly during the university stage. it became rocky and angsty at some point during the development of their career but i'm glad they found each other again regardless of the obstacles they faced. My heart never fails to ache for chinese youth dramas such as this!!

This is a slower version of Attention Love really.
It starts to really pick up the pace when they graduate from high school, trust me. Some parts are super cute and fluffy but other parts are angsty as hell and made me cry ahah

I'm not sure if this is right. The editing of the disney part seems so sudden
I think it was for the sake of matching with the tempo of the background music/ost, bc i'm pretty sure it's official Disney since it also said "Disney" in the chinese texts as well

I was frustrated by the male lead at first too because he lacked screen time and direct interaction with the female lead so i couldn't detect the chemistry but it gets better in the later episodes! it's subtle but you definitely sense his affection for CXX through the finer details and little actions/gestures, although he adopts a very tsundere personality..
