Title Forever Young Spoiler
I watched this entire series on/off within 2 days, which was not difficult since each episode is only ~30mins long but it was a nice, pleasant surprise! Better than I expected! The main lead's MDL photos do not do them any justice but I swear on my life that they're a very visually pleasing couple!! When I searched for the actress of Xiao Bai, she didn't look the same as she did in the drama but oh my goodness, she's so pretty in the drama! Perhaps it was the fake eyelashes or her lusciously long, black hair but I was absolutely stunned by her feminine beauty! Based on the drama alone, dare I say she might be the prettiest Chinese actress I've ever seen - that's how beautiful I thought she was! I know I'm rambling on too much about her but her beauty was truly captivating. I totally did not expect her to be younger than me! Particularly because this drama takes place in their final year of university and she's supposed to be born in 1995! She looked very youthful in the drama but learning that the actress was born in 2000 really shocked me, especially due to the amount of (very cute and romantic) kiss scenes she and the male lead had (he's 25 irl, 8 year age gap). More about the drama, it was sweet but also frustrating at times. The second male lead was so so so selfless and willing to wait an eternity for Xiao Bai to finally turn to him. Which happened briefly but his short-lived dream ended coldly because in the end, Xiao Bai couldn't forget about her one true love, Yu Zi Heng, who still also loved her dearly but was restrained due to family circumstances. Honestly, it was heart wrenching to always see YZH being prioritised over the second male lead, after all he had done for Xiao Bai in times of darkness and hardships. Nonetheless, no matter who Xiao Bai ended up with, I was still happy since they're both incredibly good men. Plus, extremely good looking which is always a bonus! Overall, it was a very enjoyable drama that I picked up spontaneously with low expectations. Sometimes a little draggy but still a decent show.
