Watched with low expectations but came out sobbing because the ending was so so so nice. Youth/school/romance dramas makes my reality feel so boring but man, this was a very good film!! Loved it from beginning to end.
Despite the evident flaws and loopholes, I still enjoy this series because I like the genre of music industries, etc!! I feel so bad for Chanyoung, the words "when you try your best but you don't succeed" is very relatable for him in episode 12 yikes.
im rlly loving the sexual agency that women have been given so far in this drama. her mom is a former adult film…
Agree, agree, agree! I was pleasantly surprised at the unconventional portrayal of the female lead. Definitely different to the usual. Also, despite this series being broadcasted on OCN, I don't think they actually produced it? I may be wrong but I heard that they bought (?) the rights from the original source in order to (experimentally) fill in an empty time slot or something along those lines. Apparently their sister network tvN also did something similar about picking up Cinderella and the Four Knights to also fill in a time slot.
recommendations for a drama like this one? hot leads, slightly cheesy feel good, strong romance and maybe a love…
Hi School Love On, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, W, Monstar, Love in the Moonlight, Splash Splash Love, Sassy Go Go, Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, Love O2O, Reply 1997, Cinderella and the Four Knights, Oh My Ghostess - not all meet every criteria but definitely worth checking out! Some are recommended just based on how cute the leads are, romance, lighthearted, relationship triangles, musical, etc.
Currently watching him in All About Secrets and he legit looks like Luhan's long lost twin.. anyone can fight me on this because he genuinely looks like his doppelgänger, I'm not even joking or exaggerating omfg. The resemblance is uncanny!!
Fans of Luhan, behold!! Zhe Yuan is a complete doppelgänger of him, it's almost creepy/mind blowing! Aside from the shape of his nose, he technically looks like Luhan's long lost twin! Particularly the doe-like eyes with heavy double eye lid, his face shape, structure of his brows, often the hair style too.. honestly, the resemblance is uncanny! He literally looks like a carbon copy of Luhan in certain angles! I sometimes actually mistake him for Luhan and I am not exaggerating omfg. Also, I'm sh00k because the actress of Chi Zi is literally a month younger than me.. what the heck!? I'm absolutely in love with San Shui's dreamy smile, the age gap between the actress (~7 years) is wider than I expected hahah
Honestly, San Shui deserves so much better. Chi Zi is always misleading and sending him mixed signals; at times she treats him nicely but then treats him like shit the next day. She was the one who shamelessly used him as a replacement to (ineffectively) get Bai Wen jealous. Yet, she had the freaking audacity to be annoyed with San Shui's good will intentions! Her petty treatment towards San Shui is pathetic and unjustified. Chi Zhi should feel blessed to have someone like San Shui since Bai Wen clearly only sees her as a childhood friend, nothing more. San Shui's smile is so dreamy and he genuinely loves Chi Zi but he deserves all the happiness in the world, not someone who takes advantage of his unconditional kindness. It's a shame because I was rooting for him and Chi Zi (since Bai Wen is a bit of an insensitive dick lol). I hope he chases his dream, go to Beijing and become a successful author! Jia Li is a manipulative character who's difficult to sympathise with, cannot relate to her actions despite her complicated circumstances at home. Bai Wen needs to pull his shit together because he's head over heels for the teacher Li Er (from the movie Left Ear) and completely ignorant of Chi Zi's feelings. He needs to stop neglecting her for Jia Li (I hate it when she tries to gain pity or uses blackmail omfg). He treats her too leniently, it's so frustrating. I do somewhat enjoy the series so far, though the connection with Left Ear (movie) is sort of boring since I don't remember much of it. Frankly, I'm not interested in that part of the story.. I wish they made them unrelated to each other.
His acting is a little stiff/robotic/awkward in All About Secrets but I think that's part of his character. He's too innocent and cute (as heckkkkk) in that drama, he's super super super dreamy when he smiles, like it actually makes my heart weak omfg.
. I want to let this out, because it srsly pisses me off.. alright so, I don't understand So Rim. Han Kyeol…
I understand it's frustrating that Sorim is somewhat leading Chanyoung on but I think there's a reason why she wants to keep her promise with him. To her, he opened up about his bottled up struggles as the outsider of Crude Play so she was aware of his hardships. Sorim also knew that Chanyoung is depending a lot on her because he wants to fully rely/trust on her (compared to his ambiguous presence innCrude Play) and vice versa. Hence, she can't accept Hangyeol's song otherwise she would be betraying Chanyoung's important trust. I think it would've been worse if she accepted his song. But yeah the miscommunication is very frustrating LOL, esp since she's trying to not cause any problems for the guys but it's backfiring..
