Title Ex
I didn't think I would enjoy this film as much as I would've due to the nature of this genre but it was actually pretty good? I really enjoyed the visual aesthetic, the cinematography and everything. It had a very true, classic, urban, slightly vintage/retro Hong Kong feel to it! It also felt very weird to watch an older film (oh god, 2010 was 7 years ago!?) where these actors were young again (since all the TVB actors I grew up with as a child are getting older as these years go by..) Very nostalgic haha~

Plot Summary: the male lead wanted to confess to the girl of his dreams but unfortunately, she (beautiful, smart and intelligent) has very high standards and told him (not so intelligent..) to graduate with full marks before attempting to confess to her again. Feeling hopeless about his grades, he received help from a mysterious girl who happened to be a ghost. She resides within the school campus with a group of other ghosts. In order to leave earth, they need to fulfil their regrets/dying wishes within a year's time. For that to happen, they need to venture the outside world. However, they're unable to leave the school grounds without the help of the male lead. In exchange with helping the male lead to graduate university (and ultimately win the heart of his dream girl), he must also help them grant their dying wishes. Along the way, he and Tian Tian catch feelings, thus complication arises.

Seems like there's no page for the male lead but oh my god Aaron is SO good looking. The story itself was fine, sometimes a little draggy and boring (I skipped a lot of parts tbh) but Aaron was worth it all. His damn jawline can give you paper cuts omfg.

*I made a plot summary in the spoiler tag above if anyone's unsure of the synopsis

For some weird obscure reason, Tiffany's forehead really annoyed me LOL the film was meh, it was fairly decent but it didn't particular wow me. The comedy was good but it didn't have me rolling on the floor in hysteric- kind of laughter.

Hilarious movie, entertaining from beginning to end. The comedy was funny as heck, the mystery/crime behind it was very well executed, and the actors were amazing!!

I would consider her determined if she actually flipped the entire junkyard upside down with her superpowers but all she did was merely run into the place, walked around then got persuaded by Gook Doo to escort her back out again..

Title Strong Girl Bong Soon Spoiler
Mixed feelings about this drama so far, particularly due to the recent eps. It's been enjoyable and a good laugh but it feels lacking in certain areas. The couple is so freaking adorable and they share super cute moments together but the progression towards their relationship/official status felt very lukewarm. Dare I say, their chemistry felt a little lacking? The love triangle wasn't executed very well. The other subsidary couple served little purpose too. The comedy scenes with the gangsters were hilarious but sooo unnecessary and a waste of screen time - contributed nothing to the plot whatsoever. Although it's quite intriguing, the thriller/mystery aspect feels very lacklustre as well. Rather than suspense, it just feels very frustrating with all the loopholes (eg. can't they just track the location of Gyeong Shim's phone!?). Honestly I'd be extremely concerned if this kind of powerless police force actually existed in reality. The story is quite choppy with no particular focus on either genres, whether it's romance, family, supernatural, thriller, mystery, crime, or comedy. Sometimes it's too overwhelming with their attempts to shove everything in, and sometimes too underwhelming. Min Hyuk's character could've been so much more dimensional in regards to his childhood dream to become a killer (mentioned in early episodes). It honestly feels like a waste of great potential in the characters and plot itself.

Is this one good? And which one is better, the movie or the drama?
Haven't seen the movie yet but the drama is worth a watch if you haven't watched it yet~

I watched the film like a month ago so I can't remember very well but from what I recall, Qi Yue never got married in the end. Which was sad and ironic because out of the two, she seemed the most likely to get married and settle down. Since childhood, she has always been envious of An Sheng who drifted from one place to another without being tied down. To her family and friends, she followed her dreams to travel freely and experience new things around the world; no one knew she was pregnant with the guy's child except An Sheng. So when Qi Yue died, she entrusted her daughter to An Sheng. Maybe to keep the biological father oblivious/ignorant, hoping he never finds out? And also because I think An Sheng wanted to preserve the image that Qi Yue was still on her life's greatest adventure to discover the world that she was never able to. A way to continue her legacy? Something along those lines? The film was quite confusing, very metaphorical, blurred lines, vague conclusion/ending, so it's open to interpretation haha~

Don't worry, I skip their scenes too! In fact, I skip a lot of problematic scenes unless it's crucial to the storyline lolol~

I'm not going to lie - yes. She gets badly treated by her family BUT the male lead makes up for it. In addition, she's someone who can stand up for herself and say what's on her mind so she's not easy to bully (with the exception of the mother and sister who belittles and takes her for granted). I usually hate these kind of stereotypical cliché tropes but this drama was very addicting and entertaining for me, but ofc, to each their own! I skipped most scenes in the beginning eps; it gets more interesting when the relationship with the male lead is deepened.

Title Because of Meeting You Spoiler
I ship the main couple so much, I hope everything goes smooth sailing for them in spite of all the nasty obstacles eeeeek, and omfg the little kid is utterly adorable; sassy and quick-witted~ but omfg there's not a single adult that I like apart from the grandmother, biological father, Xin Hua and the other auntie. Everyone else especially the mothers (and ofc the manipulating devil that brings life to the form of the older sister Yuxin) are snakey and cunning and evil as hell jfc.
