It looks possible they may not go that way since they are doing a woman empowerment/sisterhood type of thing. I really hope they don't :)

I have no idea, but the foreshadowing was already cast when the ML asked the FL would she regret it if YinZhang betrayed her in the future. It was pretty clear to me that was a real possibility, and now we see YinZhang crushing on the ML.. I think she will cause trouble in the future, sadly... just guessing.. I'm only to ep 6 rn, but it has 40 eps, lots of room to torture us :/

I do feel this is underrated.. I have watched it twice over the years and enjoyed it each time. It's a rocky beginning with the bad hair style, icky mother in law, and old fashioned underdog woman/rich arrogant snotty man.. BUT , they ML's character becomes one of the most steadfast ML characters in a drama, so head over heels for her.. They're chemistry is natural and it has a very down to earth, at times funny and sad moments. I do recommend it, just stick around for the whole drama, it gets better and better.

Of course you have the right:) That's what this area is for.. I am just commenting because I am not positive at the time this particular drama was made, if the concept was so unoriginal.. I am saying I don't know, but the one you compared it to came 2 yrs after this was made and you used that as an example of why you rated this lower.. It seemed unfair. There are many cliche's in this drama, but it has many awesome things. I think the growth of the ML's character and how he became unshakeable in his devotion to the FL's character, no matter what ,and steadfastly taking care of her made him a cut above many other dramas.. And the naturalness of their chemistry was also a joy to watch. Yes, it's very tragic about Choi Jin Shil's life.. but I am trying to keep my thoughts and comments separate from this, her last work. Sorry, if I bothered you, I knew you commented 9 years ago, haha.. I watched this drama probably 6 years ago, and again just watched again.. That's why I am fired up, haha.

I think only he and his brother live in the house, and that's not unusual.. It appears they have no other family and one is raising a kid on his own. It's not weird for family to live together at all in many countries. The thing I find weird, is they are wealthy, they have a tv and video games, pool table and big house, but no washer and dryer? haha I mean, that might have been normal for those times there, but I doubt it if you were wealthy.

except this was made 2 years before so , not really fair to rate lower because it was similar to ones made later?

I really enjoy this drama.. This is my second time watching, I watched it many years ago. I felt the same both times, the first few episodes are hard from me to enjoy.. I hate her hair and the mother in law screaming and the crazy things the FL's character does, also how much she hits her kid.. I can only guess that wasn't a shock to the SK audience at the time.. But once we settle into her living as the house keeper it picks up for me.. And by another couple episodesI fell in love with Jung Joon Ho.. He showed every emotion , and was just awesome..Yes, his character drags her around and all that dated stuff, grabbing by the wrist and pulling her all the time.. That was the 'thing' in those days, considered romantic in dramaland :/ While we can disagree, it's a cultural thing and I can understand that. But his character is so consumed by his feelings for the FL's character and he's so immature about it that it's pretty entertaining.. But this drama shows his growth also.. Her character is harder for me to relate to, clinging onto the idea of family when her husband clearly abandons them for long lengths of time, and she's a fool to believe his lies. But also , across the world, our many cultures have become more enlightened and empowered, so I accept when this drama was made and still enjoy it even so.

Deserves higher rating. I have watched it a couple times over the years. It has some dated writing, and etc, but it is a cute, sweet , simple drama that doesn't have a lot of angst and has an adorable performance by Choi Si Won.

Well Min Ji has a dad ... and we already saw the ML was good and sweet to Min Ji.. He also didn't have lots of screen time with her , but we can tell from his growth he will be an awesome family member to her..This type of drama, back in those days, were skimpy on the effusive romantic lines imo.. Lots of things were left unsaid, instead of " I love you', often they were more vague, like ' let's travel this road together' haha Drove me crazy.. but still I think dropping the rating to a two is OTT for one sentence left unsaid.

Well, I feel the idea that she is 'making him worse', is unfair. His bad choices are on him. He had issues with what's going on, but no one made him steal and hide evidence and collude with a suspect behind the FL's back to try and get what he wanted. That's a serious flaw, red flag, and foreshadowing of what he could be capable of imo...There's been very little screen time with Raphael, there's isn't a way to ship them really imo, ... except :) he already won me over , when in the beginning he told her she didn't have to keep the baby, she should do what she wanted. His baby, his last chance at his own baby, but he respected her choice and thought of her.

just curious, was that before or after he got married? Because I do know he has done romances with kissing scenes, but I don't know if he has after he married.

Well, it's a story about growth, if it started with all perfect people it could be a boring story and they don't exist anyway ( perfect people, haha) . The ML becoming a better man who deserves her is an interesting story to me personally.

the ML and FL were never a couple. She also knew that he had a first love that he was waiting for, and she appeared. But even before she appeared, the ML told the FL that he thought of her as just a friend. The ML and SFL appeared to be a couple, ( altho they weren't really, they were undefined, but she was living in his house)...and the SML confessed to the FL and she turned him down saying she was getting out of an entanglement of feelings basically. She was healthy minded and honest throughout imo. The SML said he understood and asked her to just go slow and get to know each other. she agreed to that. She is getting to know and she is seeing all the red flags with him now. The ML has very low EQ and fully realized the person he cared about and missed was the FL, not his long ago first love. It's really about their growth really.. I like a swoony romance, but I am enjoying the mature telling of this story.

He confessed to her, she said she wasn't ready, that she was getting over an entanglement, he said' I understand, let's go slow'.. But he wants to go faster now.. .. she tried to turn him down, he pushed for it. She was honest. She doesn't HAVE to go at his pace. She's actually doing what he asked for, getting to know each other slowly. and clearly as she gets to know him, he's showing red flags, which makes her feel less comfortable with him. She hasn't made her mind up to end it yet, for whatever her reasons, it's not wrong or right.. they both have their wants and their rights. Coupledom is compromise... or not when one or both are done.

actually, without seeing this, but reading your comment, it's not the way the story ended at all. When it was announced there would be no third season, I read the book. It had a sweet ending.
