From what I've observed, ratings tend to go down, especially for ***popular emotion wrecker drama of all genres* **as years go by. (Maybe cause a few late viewers rated it considering all aspects in a critical way. Maybe like 9 or 8.5) When I initally watched Mydramalist, Kdrama Goblin had a 9.1 or something rating. Now the ratings have gone down to 9 and then 8.9. Same with Weighlifting Fairy Kim BokJoo , Put Your Head on my Shoulder, Boys Over flowers and Eternal Love (Xianxia) from my experience. Nirvana in Fire (Wuxia) managed a 9.2 rating for many years, but the no. of viewers are less. And I am writing this post as a person who appreciates each genre for its own beauty.
I wonder is this will achieve close to the success of The Untamed? The story has a lot of potential but what also…
From reading articles, it seems like the original novel, MDZS, had a massive following which was how the producer (?) Yang Xia even discovered it. Not to mention the fans who followed every step of its creation and even mass rated it negatively when a fancam broke out. Plus, after the release of the Guardian, people had hopes. Also, a donghua, audio book, etc. were already there. Many factors contribute to the popularity of a show. And in one way, TU had an advantage, but I don't know much about Meat Bun, though. As long as the story and acting is good, it doesn't matter how popular a show is. :)
Okay, I usually don't watch such dramas, but I made it upto ep 26 and only met one annoying character. Both the leads don't actually make you want to pull your hair off. And I like both the FLs'personality. They are kind of ruthless with their views. Many people dislike QQ's scenes, but I started the drama for them. :D Maybe I'll drop it in between, but its kind of good till now. (This is the 3rd designer drama I've watched, phew!)
There are more sensible reviews with more precise ratings above, but a 10/10 for me cause this was the only cdrama that got released this year that did not make me want to drop it halfway. And the story about how Nuannuan was totally lost after her dream got shattered and had to begin again was the best part for me in this drama. To be honest, I wanted Han Che to suffer for what he did in the beginning and there are still questions regarding that situation for me, but in the end, I'm happy that this show wrapped up beautifully. A second season will not do it justice.
Started episode 2. Waiting for all the main cast to finally appear onscreen. Cause I keep forgetting everyone and unforunately, I mean no offense, but every minister with beard and bun hair looks sort of same.
I forgot the first episode's introduction and all character names by the end of the 1st episode itself. Which is why I dropped this drama. But, seeing ratings. I wanna give it another go.
One of the most bloodiest and angsty dramas that I've ever watched. I dropped it around 25 episode cause I couldn't stand or go against the main villain since I knew how it ended. I'm gonna get crucified for saying this, but I despised Yuwen Yue. Sure, he was perfect. But, I cannot just understand where his righteousness flew away when he along with the other garbage princes just watched the trash of an emperor plot and annihilate his friend. He was just a puppet of his Grandpa. Everyone where in one mad fight for power and no one really cared what happened to their loved ones.
I don't know what countries Viki got it for but they have it as well
Thanks, guys. I meant on Youtube. Its easier for me. Tried the WeTv website. They haven't yet asked me to download their app. So, I'll go with that. :)
Am in ep 14 and I still feel a bit confusing they should have given us some background info Like fox tribe and…
Hehe. I was too lazy and stopped at episode 3. There seems to be a lot of behind the scenes action going on, which the female lead doesn't know yet, from what I've observed. Problem? I have no idea what those heavenly people are talking about and am just as clueless as Bai Qian.
I feel bad for the viewers in Youtube who excitedly wait for the next episode. 60 episodes and you are telling me *that* is the ending? Decided not to watch it. Too bad, I was actually excited.
I don't stan EXO, but YouTube recommended me their disastrous roast videos and I decided to give their meme worthy members a chance. I initially wanted to watch DO's drama, but since I did not find it anywhere, I decided on ZTao's TBSITS. One of my nicest decisions this quarantine. I finally understand why this drama has a lot of negative comments. It is marketed as romance, but should have Business also as a tag. Everyone gets equal screentime and from what I saw, many viewers who loved the drama skipped all those scenes and went straight for the leads. To be honest, I found out the business part interesting cause this is my first time seeing the portrayal of the relationship between companies and idols. (An unhealthy one.) This is also my first idol drama this year, and it did not disappoint. (Especially ZTao's expressions.) I found the leads romance really beautiful as it was built a lot on trust. It is slow, but worth it. Not to mention, the female lead was headstrong. It was portrayed in a subtle way, which is why I liked it. Male lead is kinda spoilt, but it was shocking to see how they used him as a thing for money. Not even like a proper human. Overall, I'd definitely tell you to skip the boring part and give the drama a try. It starts slow and you might wanna drop it, but do give it a second chance.
Its good. The last ew episodes ruined the original mood for me, but its still worthy enough to watch. And LMH is a good actor, I think. Its just that his new characters are written that way...
After seeing how Beautiful Reborn flower was pushed back for 2 - 3 years, and finally got released to bad reviews, I have a feeling why some dramas are not broadcast on time. If they left the drama in the burner for so long, they'd better dust it off well as people have expectations.
Just watched an episode and realized that I have zero idea about what the plot is. Despite being extremely popular, I have never seen a single thing about the actual story, except the romance.
i'm currently in eps 35. but bruhh i don't get it. what is so good about this drama? i mean this drama is definitely…
I don't know how many people noticed, but Untamed was the 1st Wuxia Cdrama for many viewers. From all the wuxia dramas that I've, this one has the most easy to follow plot, plus the acting and OST covered up any issues. I think this widely contributed to the higher ratings, especially from new viewers.
