The drama is really fast paced. Not a single moment seems to be a waste so far. And only 59 episodes? It originally had like 66/70+ Episodes. I hope that they somehow release all that content.

You mean Zhao Wo Huan and Jian Bu Zhi being followed by Zhan Shi Qi in the first few episodes? Honestly, Zhao Wo Huan might be talented in martial arts, apart from that he is just a very normal, regular dude. It becomes very clear in the later episodes. Jian Bu Zhi's father had told him that a detective is in the light while the killer is in the dark. So, to make up for his lack of martial arts and also to solve the mystery, he has to be more senstive to the surroundings and more perceptive than Zhao. Plus, both Jian and Zhao have not been in the martial world for long. Heck, past some episodes, it is the supporting characters that save "both" of their lives. I found it highly entertaining. :D I was getting tired of the "every character being an untouchable martial hero" trope. But, if it doesn't sit well with you, no need to force yourself to watch it. As I said in the article, like every other show, this one too, is not for everyone. :)

We have a variety of characters in the later episodes! Though, Sima Dang and Ming Yue appears around EP6, Wicked Woman in EP 10 or 11 and Ye Xiao Xiao the episode following her. Hope you give it a go. :)
It should be Ye Xiao Xiao in the poster above instead of Ming Yue. He has alot of screen time and helped alot.…
Ming Yue appears much later than Ye Xiao Xiao and even Sima Dang in the opening credits of the show. It was ultimately Jian Bu Zhi, Zhao Wo Huan, Ye Xiao Xiao and Zhan Shi Qi who were the leads, screentime wise.

It was fast paced for me, but with 24 episodes, what could they do? And if we remove Shi Qi, Shi Er or old man would've killed Jian. Heck, Ming Yue's whole plan is built on Zhao's soft side for her. She wouldn't have been able to touch either of them if Zhao was a bit more sharp and less innocent.
I didn't know that they filmed this in 2018! I also loved the ending song to the drama

Reviews were good, but it still hasn't got enough traffic compared to many other dramas. The Main Cast, some like Huang Riying and Wang Yan Yang have been around for a while. Just not popular yet. Don't let that deter you from watching it. :)
