Should I watch this? Tell me at least 1 positive reason and 1 negative :) Thank you in advance :D
Yep. Positive? Lots of mystery solving and all the characters are worth to die for. Negative? If you don't like detective stories...

Japanese dramas never disappoint. Especially in terms of acting and emotions. Most long dramas make me drop it atleast once, but I've yet to come across a jDrama that does this. I began my venture into asian dramas with Hana Yori dango (my favorite version and also the least popular adaption of Boys over Flowers, which is funny considering that it is the manga's home country.). Japan can make drama/movie with absoluetly no plot and still bring you to tears. I wish people gave them more chance.

This is not wuxia, its just historical & political genre. Just because it has martial arts doesn't make it a wuxia…
Yeah. I checked the site out. If you check, Joy of Life is categorised into a single playlist headed as "Historical/Wuxia" in YoYo English Channel but its definitely more on the political side. And that TVB channel does have a lot of popular older martial/wuxia dramas, so this drama might have landed under the same tag as them. Just like how Joy of Life ended up tagged with Fighter of the Destiny and other wuxia dramas. Relax. Its easy to understand when a drama is Wuxia after you've seene enough of them. Most wuxia dramas have about 70% training and fight sequences.

In Mydramalist, except the 1st in series, all the others don't have the Wuxia tag. I have never seen the drama, but I think it was tagged as such due to some wuxia/martial elements. (Its also an older drama from Hong Kong, and I've not watched a single HK drama to date to be the judge) Often many dramas are labelled as such, but that may just be a gist. Its usually easy to distinguish wuxia dramas once you've watched an unhealthy amount of them. All of them have sort of the same plot. Song of Glory, Princess Weiyoung, Goodbye my Princess all seem to follow palace politics with villains being right in front of your eyes.

The Four is actually focussed on the martial skills of the leads. This drama has leads with good martial skills, but the main storyline doesn't involve much of their skills, but rather the politics. A drama may have characters that do flying thing, like in Goodbye My Princess, Li Chengyin literally flies up a tree and Gu Jian is 80% of his time training/cultivating, but its more political and less martial. Under the Power, Princess Agents, the Untamed, Winner is Love, Legends, are all wuxia drama - the leads lives depend on their martial arts. Remove that and an integral part of the whole plot is gone. *Typical* wuxia dramas have sects and gangs fighting for some important object or dominance. This one is definitely more on the political history side with more plot.

Title Meet Me after School Spoiler
Damn. The main guy went bonkers since episode one. Considering how persistent he was, the school's pressure (it was ridiculous, especially that elder teacher who seems to be knowing whats going on) and her airhead of a fiance (pretending to not see anything, not listening), I can see why she cracked in end. I remember the article in MDL that first led me to this page. And I randomly watched it this year, but hey, it was worth it.

Just started this and on episode 3 so far. And have a few questions on the plot and hoping to see if someone can…
He seems to have completely relied on his father's notes. From what I understood (I still haven't completed the show), he woke up with the jade and no memory, went to the Jian home and worked out that he was definitely Jian Bu Zhi from his father's stuff. Others from Shen Ji valley might have verified it for him later. He is completely depending on his intelligence so far, and it seems like he made an accurate conclusion with what he had on hand. But, he himself seems to be not so convinced by the turn of events, hence his journey. Lets see where this goes...

( I should've known that I must never underestimate JMovies and Dramas, despite their low populatiry in MDL, considering the fact that I ventured into Asian stuff cause of them and even made an MDL account to save the list of JMovies and dramas I watched. )
I actually thought, "What crap am I watching? Why am I following three stories and why do the leads have no screentime?"

Seems like those little screentimes and bickering was enough to cut onions in the end. Damn man. I love relationships like this. Where you don't even need to do anything to know that you care for each other. You don't seem such stuff always on TV. I am relieved after the ending scene of them together, however they might be. That was a painfully happy scene for me.
Does anyone realize/think so that it was a long flashback for those two girls Kyapiko and Jimiko? Where we initially see them talking about a funeral and then we see the same scene from the heroine's point of view at the end of the movie? Then Jimiko's brother' s story completed the circle?

The last 50 minutes were cruel. There was no music in any many scenes. And that somehow made it much more real. Kudos to whoever made this and as usual, JEntertainment never disappoints when it comes to acting.

I liked the Untamed for the character portrayals (especially the Jiang family) and awesome OST. (I personally think this is also the reason it is hyped up, but we are not ready for that talk yet.) Like all the currently top rated dramas, it is an emotion wrecker. Heck, I rated it 9. 5. But, personally to me, the main plot gets pushed back as we see it through the eyes of only one character - Wei Wuxian. Viewers need to only follow his journey and literally no side character arcs. And we can't blame anyone cause the source material is told from his point of view. (I didn't even feel the BoyBand effect, unfortunately.) This made the story largely appealing to viewers for sure and even made more people enter the
CDramaland. (It convinced me to give heavier dramas like Princess Agents and Goodbye my Princess a second chance.) If someone began their Cdrama journey with something heavy like Nirvana in Fire, it'd be a completely different story. In UT, audience know who they care for and know the characters in depth.
The UT relies on viewers emotions a lot too. (All the top rated dramas here, modern ones included do this.) Plus, the OST was *really* good . But, the plot was kind of predictable for me personally. The plot went forward due to emotions of the characters rather than actual schemes. The people who did it never even appeared actively on screen, and viewers never look too deep into their actions. I also maybe the only person who skipped the Yi City Arc completely cause I found the impromptu flashback annoying and couldn't invest myself in the characters. Yet, I see gifs of those scenes everywhere, about it mirroring WangXian.
I can actually understand why MDZS is popular. But, I never thought about it the way you did, though. A unique take on it.

Its blocked for my country.

Every single wuxia drama I watched last year focussed on playing with the viewers'emotions, but just an okay plot. And those rare times I come across any new drama with actual substance, they end up getting blocked for me and not a single site has subs for it. Damn, man. What luck. I saw the first episode and was sucked in. Now I am stuck with only three episodes.

I'm going to refine my assessment of this drama. So far it definitely should be tagged as Gothic Horror, even…
Moon Young's house, her mom, along with those sleep paralysis flashbacks gave me a lot Crimson Peak flashbacks.

it's really interesting to me how some people are portraying juri as this villanous character and hate her so…
She obviously has her reasons. She apparently brought her to her mom, too. And might possibly know some stuff that might have happened in MY's family. I don't know why everyone are quick to jump into the Juri hate train, but we don't know what she saw. Even Juri herself admits that she let her feelings get the best of her at some point in the drama, but she is not as worse as some viewers think.

Title It's Okay to Not Be Okay Spoiler
Am I the only who got completely freaked out by MY's actions? I think its due to her disorder, how she acts? Especially at the end, with her taking ST away to lure him. GT is doing a good job dealing with her, cause if it was someone else, (like me) pretty sure that they'd have gone and booked themselves a ward in that hospital.

Finished the 1st episode a couple of hours ago. And boy... it left me feeling something in my stomach. You know that moment when things get hard to watch, but still do? Thats exactly what I felt. This drama is **definitely** not for everyone. It deals with quite heavy topics such as mental health. I don't know how correct the portrayal of a psychatric hospital is. But, I'd never forget those scenes. The 1st episode was hauntingly beautiful. I have so many questions that I want answers for.... and for people who are confused, its pretty clear that the FL had a bad childhood and had things happen to her that messed her up. So, her actions are sort of understandable, even if it seems crazy at times. She is the most intriguing character of the whole show. And don't worry about the ratings. Personally, I'd give this a 10 just for the acting alone. (I found the OST weird, but it fits.)
And question, what is the ML's brother suffering from?
