Even the stupidest person out there would not pick up a fight with a famous idol who is also a Murder Suspect.…
They might not know him, just cause an idol is famous doesn't necessarily mean everyone knows them on sight. I couldn't pick out a member of BTS with a gun to my head but I'm familiar with the group name. The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard case was everywhere and I still don't think I actually know what Amber Heard looks like if you asked me to identify her on the street (the only thing I think I've seen her in is that one episode of Criminal Minds).
So I historically struggled to get into idol dramas because I am just not into watching music videos during the…
Much more focused on the murder and trauma and the negative impacts of stardome rather than the music. There is some music, obviously we can't escape it entirely in a drama centered around a singer, but it's not really about the music. At least not so far.
Is it important to watch season 1 and 2 to watch this?? I have watched some episodes of season 1 so I kind of…
Season 1 gives you all the background about who they are and why they do this. Season 3 is basically just them doing their thing episodically with very little in the way of character development (because the characters have been developed and now we're just chilling in their day to day badassery basically).
does anybody. know the meaning of the drama title--Idol I?
Not a clue, seems like a really weird translation choice. Grain of salt for my google translation but 아이돌아이 translates to Idol Child, and the romanisation of the Korean is Aidol Ai. So I wonder if Aidol Ai became Idol I to keep the same repetition?
i thought about it too but shouldnt there be a weapon in the crime scene then? i feel like it would appear to…
Shows like Broadchurch manage to do a successful whodunit in less episodes. Granted it wasn't also a romcom so the only plot point was the murder but I think 12 episodes is more than enough for this.
i know this not gonna happen but can the actual suspect be THE actual criminal??or the victim killed himself just…
The weapon and the victim's phone are both missing from the crime scene so I think that might rule out suicide, at least. And we can rule out La Ik because this is also a romance drama not a hard core crime drama lol.
It seems pretty clear to me from the first three episodes that this is gonna be a character heavy drama, where we're introduced to these damaged people and we explore why they are the way they are and hopefully they find some healing in the end. The crime is really just a plot device to further that character exploration and the relationships around them. The case is likely to run the entire length of the series so I wouldn't expect any fast developments here.
This show is good but i feel like nothing happened in this episode, ill keep watching but im on the fence
We learned a lot about La Ik's background, his shitty mom, the start of his career, his friendship with U Seong. The drama seems pretty heavily character focused and the whodunit is just a plot device to explore these characters.
Yes not sure about anything as of now but definitely the killer was someone ra iks bandmate(the one who got killed)…
They also say "either he never sensed his attacker" so it's plausible that he was snuck up on from behind and stabbed. He was drunk so it's also plausible someone could incapacitate him from behind and stabbed him without inflicting any defensive wounds. I think the cops focusing on it being someone he knew well might actually be a clue for us to look outside their circle. We can pretty much assume the cops read of the murder will be completely incorrect as they are trying to make evidence fit a suspect.
I agree with the theory below that La Ik was likely the actual intended target and his friend was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I think we can rule out the following people as suspects: The ex-girlfriend - they are making her too sus so that automatically rules her out for me. The CEO - he doesn't stand to gain anything and is, in fact, losing money The angry bandmate - can't recall his name but like the ex-girlfriend his open animosity rules him out for me as well.
The manager is a likely candidate but would he really confuse the two men and kill the wrong person? Unless framing La Ik for murder was the goal all along. But I'm partial to theory that the murderer fucked up and killed the wrong person.
The other bandmate has his right arm in a sling which could rule him out, since the stab wound was on the left (if I recall properly?). He couldn't stab with his left and get that angle of wound (Am I overthinking?). But the sling could be a red herring, wouldn't be the first crime show to fake an injury to draw away suspicion. ETA: he could use his left if he was stabbing from behind but if his right arm was in a sling that still makes it really hard to do I think.
Watch now, the killer is someone random like his therapist or something.
Oh I hate the smarmy prosecutor and the fact that he's a former bully just makes me hate him all the more. Why am I sitting through him on a blind date? Literally do not care. Him having the audacity to say "still the same. Arrogant and prickly" when he bullied her out of school???? Punt that man in the sun! I hope she wipes the floor with him.
Why am I the only one who is shocked by the swastika on the stairs of the temple.. I know it's a fictional story,…
I'm pretty used to seeing them in kdramas now, it's a religious symbol so lot's of temples and that sort of thing in dramas have them. The first time I saw one in a drama I had to remind myself that the Nazi's stole it
I meant what time of day? Netflix dramas usually have new episode up by now but Idol I isn't showing any new episodes yet for me..... and having just written that I now realize it's Sunday and not Monday. My vacation is messing with my brain lol.
