I don't speak Thai so take this worth a grain of salt, but I'm pretty sure the word Triphop used was "nong chai", which if I am correct does translate literally to brother, as in there's shared blood there.

I'm okay with it - the show was never gonna go there anyway, I knew it, this just confirms it. And well I ship everything a little, can't help it, so I'll be just fine if it winds up being Khatha and Anthika at the end - there was certainly a bit of tension there.

Honestly I'm mostly in this for Gun/Dome, so I was a little disappointed in this ep (even though I really enjoyed the creepypasta - wth is Anthika up to? Salt cult for a new god???? Burnt man god that may or may not have been Dome at some point? Or maybe Dome can resurrect it? idk but I'm definitely curious).

Can't say I'm not happy we're getting back to our regularly scheduled Dome fainting next ep, though.

Won't lie, I would have loved that.

I really enjoyed this quite a bit. Unexpectedly, this became one of my favorite dramas so far and I'm sad to see it end. But I think the note it ended on was perfect.

I think that it will happen, it'll just be a slow process. And it'll probably start with shows that aren't expected to be hugely popular, because lbr, there are certain folks out there that just can't handle it, the very thought of it gives them the vapours. I do have hope that it'll work that way in increments, though.

I think that it would be cool if they started putting more gay characters in "regular" dramas - no one batted an eye to see a man and a woman rolling around on a bed together in ep 3 - that's kinda how I wish some of these dramas were about gay couples as well. BL is a whole different story - it's specifically about the romance with any plot being incidental.

I agree this probably won't be that show, though. And that's fine. It's a fun time regardless, honestly. I really enjoy the whole cast together thus far and I hope that it continues to be engaging and have a mix of an anthology feel along with the meta plot.

And I agree with you about pair branding 100%. Not only can it be limiting to actors, it also prompts things like fanservice which...well, to be frank makes me uncomfortable. Thankfully it's easily avoided.

Weirdly, the fact that Ritsu is leaving now makes me entirely certain that we'll get a good or at worst a bittersweet ending. I still think they might split up for good (or at least for a while), but I'm not entirely certain that's a bad thing for either of them.

I still quite like this drama, although it's not my favorite at the moment. I like the wistfulness of it.

Unpopular, but I don't really see OffGun's chemistry. Like I loved Not Me but mostly because of the story, not the romance. But also, I feel like I'd like more stuff like Not Me - story based dramas that just happen to have a gay relationship front and center.

Also I'd be a fan if Thailand could get away from pair branding. Although it's probably more comfortable for the actors, I do think that it can be limiting. And afaik they don't do this with their het couples.

It kind of reminds me of creepypastas, what with all the cursed artefacts and their stories. The second episode especially.

I honestly don't think it'll go there and personally I'm fine with that, but as one of the people you are speaking for I'd be delighted if they did. Not because I'm a BL fan (although, guilty, sue me), but also because that would mean that Thailand is willing to put people like me in their shows that *aren't* focused on romance, just like they would a straight couple.

I also kind of find your assumption that the only reason people like it is because they're being "baited" into thinking it's BL ridiculous. But you win, I'm done. I generally prefer to keep positive here and this conversation isn't going to go anywhere productive since we seem to be speaking at cross purposes.

And my point, which you seem to be refusing to get, is that the two things are not mutually exclusive, and yet you're conflating them like the presence of a gay storyline will suddenly make the story bad. *That* is what I am having a problem with.

I don't know why you are fixated on BL being a "shocking twist", no one but you said that. It's not like only one thing can exist, you know?

Dude. The presence of romance (and I'm gonna say BL romance because we both know that's all you really mean) doesn't automatically negate a good story.

Edit: You're probably gonna get your wish and if there is romance it'll more than likely be het, but I really dislike the way you are coming at this.

Still enjoying this way more than I thought I would, if I'm honest. I like the chemistry between everyone a lot and the episodes have been fun with good guest stars. Enjoying the mystery of who Dome really is, both in general and to Khatha in particular (currently I am leaning mostly towards June being more right than not - he thinks that Dome is the one who can finally release him from his immortal curse, but they clearly knew each other in the past so it makes me want to know Dome's deal even more) and *really* enjoying watching Khatha grab at Dome's face every ep/watching Dome faint constantly. I hope both of those trends continue. :D

I hope that if you truly don't like it you stop wasting your time and find something you do.

I am really enjoying this overall, and episode three in particular was a highlight. It was good to see Bright, and he did a great job.

Personally I don't go by ratings or comments. Some of the dramas I like the best are derided here on the regular.

Maybe because Ritsu is unlikeable? I like it all the more for that but people have a hard time with characters like that, especially when they're a MC and one of the main couple. Personally I love it, though. He feels real in a way that's almost uncomfortable but I like that. I've always been a fan of messiness.

Somehow this is my absolute favorite drama airing right now. I'm going to be so sad when it ends.
