why ppl are saying it is leaning on sad ending i am on ep 7 i though for DM everything is aligning both are healing…
He is making weathermaker in the recent episodes. :) It is a bummer though that we are given only few episodes of how he is actually doing his film. As for the sad ending, i would say that it is not really sad ending but writers might not give us the slumdog millionaire ending where in Dong Man is the underdog who tramples all of those who looked down on him. Rather, we see him getting what he deserves from leaving bad reviews on his peers films π π€£
Shall I start watching the drama? The lower ratings is it just people expecting romcoms or is it some geniuine…
Yes, you should watch it now :)
This is atypical and more on the reflective side. The main character is not the most likeable character in drama land. The audience target is the minority, so i think that is why it has lower rating. π
I love this series but the ML is the type of person I want to avoid in my life π. he talk to much and I always…
Hahhaah. Hwang Dong Man is a great character to write but i need him to stay on the screen because I am not sure that I can be kind to him π€£π a neighbor who shouts his name early morning? No thanks. π€£
I love this series so much, but it is because it highlights weakness and flaws and maybe exaggerated for emphasis' sake - "we are all trying here. " And even if he is the main lead, it does not excuse him to anything. This goes out to all the characters who are having a hard time, but do not have the excuse to be rude. π
Today, i went to my college reunion. It is our 10th year after graduating. And I felt Hwang Dong Man. I cannot help it, but anxiety crept in and the feeling of uselessness has overwhelmed me. I went home and bawled my eyes out. No words just tears flowing..
They were once the people who i shared my struggles with. But now, we are in different state in life. It haunts me that there might be a time that I won't be in the luxury to hang out with them anyomore. Not because time made them haughty, but I felt embarrassed and and it might be so much that I'll decide one day to stop showing because i one sidedly feel that i am being a burden to them.
I once read that our friends are the people we met based on how we spend our money with. So, if like, you make gym buddies or pottery class friends, because you put your money in there and you naturally create a community with them.
But with school friends, you drift apart and build life in different ways, and the pace gets varied so the gap widens.
I love these people, they are great, they even pave the way to pay for my meal and coffee. But the realization of the fear of the possibility of spending less time with them just because of our differences, specially in finances, makes me emotional. And again, if that time comes, it is not because i will get bullied, but it will be because of me overthinking and feeling small that i won't have a lot to pay for these reunions.
Hwang Dong Man! You become my favourite Hero!!! Words are not enough to express how beautiful is this drama ππ
I thought, "wow, that's huge coming from you who has a lot in your dramalist." I mean among the expanse of your watched record, HDM has gained the favorite title. You must be one of a kind.
But then I remembered loving chang hee among all the characters in my liberation notes. Then it dawned on me that we might just We love our main characters to be chatters and good with words. words that are with depth. So it all makes sense :)
i need it to have a satisfying ending. i will losse my mind if they flop dong mans movie and show us that "…
In the preview for episode 9, Hwang Dong Man said that his purpose was to be slightly less embarassing. So i think we just need to put our expectation in that scale, and not the slumdog millionaire kind of success :)
Weathermaker vs. Knock knock vs. Gyeong se's piece. Hwang Dong Man versus his hoobae that he despised (with her love interest as co writer) versus the friend that he kept on attacking lately (versus another loveable co-writer). Let's see how the writers played this out now that all of three of them would be on the ring :)
Yes, Hye Jin is coolly evil, eg she intends evil upon HDM at the end of Ep 8. IOW, she intends to produce HDM's…
I think so too. But i think the current pairings are also perfect. Platonic friendship between hyejin and dongman is enough. It was the writing rather than the character i think that made her fell in love. It was the timing of letting her laugh in the time when she was in great despair. The man in the right moment :) But yep, you definitely have some cooking up on your sleeves

I miss this already

As a person who frequents sleep paralysis until i was a teen, this was a hilarous narrative π

It's midnight, so I might delete this later

Hye Jin with Dong Man: Billion worth of fun teaching this yapping annoying lad
I imagined it with a narrator "And then he needed saving"
No one is the hero, they all needed saving at this point π€£
