I miss this drama watching it while it was airing was the best time ðŸ˜
I still remember how I always come by in MDL after every episode no matter how late at night it was, just to read and write comments. Everyone was writing and replying to one another just as friends do in real life. I wish I could feel that camaraderie again in another drama at a comment section. heheehe.
gaaaaah, listening to the ost on repeat by chance and I am itching to rewatch this all over again. This is one of the drama that I wish to erase in my memory just to relive the first time. I don't find new things as I rewatch unlike I do with others, so it becomes predictable but nevertheless, I enjoy it as much as the first time with the chemistry and osts:D
Rewatch done and I am getting excited at the thought of rewatching it again sooooon!!! :D
i was confused a couple of times and refer to Hamabe Minami as Hamabe Minase 😅😅 As for Hikaru, who on earth is Mizukami Koshi? it was and will still be Irino Hikaru for a bit longer ðŸ¤ðŸ¤
"I love that the show represented characters of different age groups (right from college students Sora/Hikaru to old man Shinchiro) & subverted society's expectations of how they were to behave or be. And the show never told us that, it showed us that in the way the characters interacted with each other & in the representation of the turmoils they faced."
That's a wrap. Rewatch done. This was great as the first time. I was confident that I know what will happen next, but I still get caught off guard with their words, acting, beautiful directory and I forget that I am familiar with this story already. I still squeal, root for the characters, get sad with them, question what would I do if I were them, mesmerized at the characters past and choices, encouraged to be better and face the next day, hoping to encounter something like this jdorama let me feel once again ;)
Human relationship are that, it changes a lot over time, but it is in choosing and wanting to be with these people or not which can make it worthwhile.
Aoi and gon, I cannot stop going about these two. they were classmates, friends, best friends, aoi's kitchen, missed proposal, rejection, yet they stayed as good friends.
Aoi and sora, the mother and daughter, the opposite (otaku/writer), the cat and dog ( for the ice cream), the secret is out but writer mom did a perfect lie, the awkward, resolve, confession of love.
Sora and hikaru, the opposites which are actually very similar (otaku), the edamame throw and hit, the jump dream and manga as a hobby only, the friends, the opening each other's heart, the hug before holding hands, the cry and 3 call rings on everything.
The shunchiro who loved his wife so much as to dancing to old songs, the calming pill of sally.
Wataru sensei, asking a girl to watch otters with him, the hanage, the unforgettable childhood promise, the i want you to hate me, the proper dates that followed.
And more.
We change and so our relationships too. but as long as we remain to want them, not everything will change, some will stay the same.
come in, we have a stalker and the victim who are living together (sally and soseki) an ojisan dating a college age lady (shunichiro and sally) an ikemen editor and queen of romance writer (soseki and aoi) a womanizer father (ichinose fuga) a martyr(open for suggestion) mother (suzu) a lover who volunteered to raise the daughter of her rival (aoi) a doctor who is stuck in a childhood promise (wataru sensei) a boy and girl childhood bestfriends who just can't keep the timing right (aoi and gon)
just another day in jdoramaland..
honestly, I had since left if not for... our bright light couple (sora and hikaru) our water is as thick as blood mother and daughter duo (aoi and sora) and the comical support of odaya gang
I could easily make a relationship chart. hahahaha
IKR! I am so happy its coming to Netflix. Can't wait to rewatch it though I doubt the subs on Netflix will do…
coming back here to say that I am not disappointed. Netflix subs made me understand more as I compared some of the scenes. :D Although I am not sure about the puns. But I must say, Netflix did a great job too :)
Episode 7, this was the epitome of why I really like this drama since. H: it's the same with all parents. when…
Episode 6 was just as good, Sora and Hikaru friendship is what we all hope and want!! And this friendship is just going up hill as the episodes progress. Also, one observation that I did not notice so much as before is the overlapping of the scenes of two friends: SoraXHikaru then to AoiXGon then back again to SoraXHikaru. And I said it before, Aoi and Gon might be a foreshadowing of the future relationship of Sora and Hikaru or it could also be the chances that they had lost, and now at last, a worthy friends-to-lovers conspire. :D I wish for another drama that focuses on Sora and Hikaru. I thought that I would be contented if we'll be served another drama starring Hamabi Miname and Mizukami Koshi, but it is now clear to me that it is the characters Sora and Hikaru that I am desperate for. heheheh. I really love the conversations that they share, be it Sora's love problem, or Jadwiga, or otaku stuff, I can listen to them for hours!!!

Episode 7, this was the epitome of why I really like this drama since. H: it's the same with all parents. when you live with them versus after you move out, or even after you get married, your relationship with your family changes. A: that's true. nothing stays the same forever. even families. H: it doesn't have to be the same forever. as long as you want to be in each other's lives, even if it's imperfect.
I don't know which is more accurate but this translation melted my heart once again for this jdorama :D
on the process of rewatching it in netflix while watching it back to back with fansubs, and I am not disappointed. I did not get the Nihonggo puns even before, so I am not really particular with it now.

Will be waiting for a you and Hyungsik drama!! :D
Wooga squad leading lady 🤣

I will not stop hoping for SEASON 2
