if you’re wondering rather you’ll get over this show, you won’t. To this day I get emotional and tear up whenever I think of this show. And Sunshower by Ayumu Imazu (the opening song) is one of my all time favorite songs. It just provokes so much emotion and nostalgia and makes me so sentimental. I love everything about this show
How does this drama have a 9.1 rating but the first 2 pages of reviews are super low 😮
yeah I’m confused too. I think the haters are coming out lol cause when the show ended it was all positive reviews. Also I’d say look at comments instead of reviews
I was reading the summary and thinking to myself “they doing too much” and then I laughed at myself cause this type of stuff always hook me in. And right above this in suggested is Until We Meet Again and First Live Again, two amazing reincarnation bls
This is my favorite Ruroni Kenshin movie. I have not watched the Netflix ones, however, this is gonna be pretty hard to beat. From the direction to the acting to the production and to the fight choreography- everything was PERFECT!
The casting is so perfect and all the characters really contribute and hold their own. Saito is literally so freaking fine and his aura is so strong. Sano is a crazy brute and so headstrong. And even Shishio is a crazy anarchist who just wants to see the world burn. My only issues in terms of casting is that Misao and Kaoru look too similar lmao. However, their characters are definitely different. Where Misao is kind of tomboyish and headstrong, Kaoru is more effeminate and strict. Literally all the characters and their dynamics were interesting like the courtesan and Shishio (the way he used her in the end was kind of brilliant and I give them their props), or the elder and Aoshi. Like these were amazing dynamics
My favorite fight scene was between Aoshi and Kenshin. It just flowed so well and was so satisfying to watch. The fight at the end was really good too. Sano is such a brute lmao. He was beat up more then Kenshin and was able to stand upright until the end. Shishio’s fire tactics were also so cool that I had to look up how he does it and it’s literally so freaking awesome. Also, Kenshin’s master was really cool cause I love how he fights. I feel like Kenshin is the only one who solely uses his sword, whereas his mentor uses his whole body as well as his sword to fight. There are other characters who use their bodies too but the master’s was the most satisfying.
The plot was also satisfying. I love seeing people’s origins and returning back to their roots. And the fight, rest/strengthen, fight sequence. Every movie franchise needs that like Star Wars, Kill Bill, and Kung Fu Panda lol. It’s so satisfying
And also the acting was just superb. Misao BODIED her performance and so did some of the henchmen for Shishio. Like the little kid, his sinister playfulness and then agony and confusion at the end was *chefs kiss*. And Hoji was annoying but the actor played the character so well.
Overall this movie is a 10/10 in my book. I still wanted more romance between Miss Kaoru and Kenshin, but this movie is still perfect
I can't in good conscious give this part higher. I really, really like Jaemin and Nami and the actors' chemistry is soooo good, however part 2 was kind of bullshit. I know I'm not the only one who has said this, but the production felt off compared to part 1 and they didn't put as much effort in like postproduction editing. And then the plot was poop. I liked that they wrapped up everything from the first part but everything after that was completely unnecessary. And I felt like they should have focused back on Jaemin getting a job and maybe realizing that there's more to life than getting a job and he can dream a happy life with Nami as in the uncut of the last episode they are pursuing a study abroad opportunity. I just think that would have made more sense then what they did. Or they could have ended the show after the 6th episode.
not to be cringey but it’s been a while since I finished this show and every now and then I feel what can only be described as withdrawals. it’s a mix of longing, nostalgia, sadness, and a hope for season 2😭
Am I the only one confused as to what this means for the series ending? I thought Khun Yao came back and everything was all good only for him to not actually be back and this is their first time seeing each other since? Also it was a few years apart no instead of a month?!?
My only critique with this show is that they couldn't decide what to do with Shone (the cousin). At first it was gonna be an issue that he likes Kang, but no Shone is actually a sweet and nice cousin and won't do Moo like that. Yet he really still likes Kang and discourages Kang and Moo from seeing each other just so he can swoop in. But it's somehow all good in the hood, cause Moo apologizes....IF SHONE IS A BAD GUY, KEEP HIM AS A BAD GUY. And it makes no sense that Moo would be the one to apologize first?! Like Sone was actually a bad person for trying to take Kang despite knowing Moo has been looking for him and still loves him. Like that whole mess pissed me off cause I hate when shows can't fully commit to a characters personality.
yeah but they have to change things up and i feel like this will be the change up. Also if im remembering correctly, in season 2 the last 2 men weren't introduced this early so i feel like for this season they introduced them early in order to fit more ppl in.
I’m sorry but she’s kind of a loser and not in a good way. Like her cleaning up that girl’s house was so lame. There was absolutely nothing commendable about that. Like she needs to know shame. I’m sorry that just pissed me off so bad.
