Took a sneak peek of the first few minutes and the film texture, cinematography, and color palette of the drama looks high quality. It's indeed a grand production. Will come back to watch more later.
This drama got its broadcasting license on 30/11 today. Now it depends on Mango TV whether they are bold enough to broadcast this with the current fiasco around BL dramas lol

Yes it is. At least it ensures that this drama is beautifully filmed as Li Muge is praised for his aesthetics. JZ and LYN will look so handsome in this drama lol as proved by the official wrapping up special clip ^^

Part of it lies with the writer. ML2 and FL2 has a way more interesting up and downs storyline than the bland plot of FL and ML.
However it's also a pity that XKC acting is not good enough to support such a complex emperor role. The chinese internet is talking about this, how this is such as waste of a good role.
WC role is written bland and boring, and his expressionless acting didn't help. I heard from novel fans that they left out his backstory in the novel which could've given some depth to his role, but I didn't read so not sure.
It's also a pity that both MLs are not beautiful enough visually in costumes. I think they look good in modern clothes though outside of ancient dramas.

No no not hating..Personally I think she's cute in person outside of dramas..but also feel she's not giving all in her acting in dramas and too focused in looking good..of course this is my personal views..everyone has different preferences and opinions ^^
Is this confirmed? I like CZY, however I can't yet with JJY. She's pretty but has too much idol baggage IMO so far, if she's confirmed hope she can get rid of her semi permanent make up first and improve her acting. She's pretty enough without that thick makeup.
