Probably because this drama is only lower cost A-class production. Tencent Merchant event on 3rd Nov only showcased S+ and S-classified projects for 2021/2022, such as
S+ : Sword Snow Stride, Who Rules the World, Love like the Galaxy, Mirror Twin Cities etc.. S : Heroes, Chongzi, Snow Eagle Lord etc..
It's quite sad that not much investors are investing in wuxia anymore. Only "Heroes" is looking promising so far. "SSS" is not classic wuxia and more fantasy based on latest trailer.

The thread is not busy yet because there are not much official material for the drama although it's officially an 'S-class' Tencent product, not even a trailer only a wrap up clip available. AIring date also still long time, maybe next year's summer ^^
LYN disclosed in his live session that this drama will have less romance(i.e focus on martial arts and jianghu). From the synopsis most emphasis is on the three lead's friendship and how they got entangled in jianghu politics.
From the clip they released after the filming wrapped up most of the money seem to went into the scenic location shooting(inner mongolia, northeastern china, some desert) and well made costumes. The 3 stars and the director are quite popular too. Weibo followers - JZ=20m, YCY=18m, LYN=15m. Director's masterpiece - Goodbye My Princess, Rattan.
it seems I can´t bring myself to watch anything that is not a wuxia drama. everything is getting more expensive…

Let me summarizes the main couple scenes briefly from what I remember so you can pick. Excuse if there are wrong eps.
28 - HXY and WY spend a night together in a tent. HXY sleep sitting down while watching the snoring WY sleeping soundly. 29 - HXY and WY act together in Yaman's ad with some pushings from Liang Kuai. HXY can't stop watching the ad dreamily later 30 - HXY accidentally confessed to WY while bickering because WY misunderstand he's sleeping aorund with others. Later in another scene HXY confessed again sincerely but WY still in a trance... 31- HXY went back to his hometown. WY follows suit later although she keep telling herself it's for vacation reasons 32 - 35 - A depressed HXY dazing in a cafe delighted to find WY in his hometown(don't know why but I like the scene when he looks up and saw WY and his eyes sort of twinkled lol). They spend time together, WY learning of HXY past and FINALLY shows some caring side for him. She went through his problem with his father together with him and they are official in ep 34.
Overall it is not a bad lighthearted drama focusing on urban life challenges of some mature working adults but it can be draggy/unmemorable and only be recommended if you have nothing else to watch or like the main casts. I admit I skipped many scenes. Cast/Acting/Editing/Fashion are pleasant throughout and personally I admired the beautiful settings of Jinxi ancient town and Shanghai skyline in some episodes.
I would recommend 'Ode to Joy' or 'Nothing but Thirty' for similar themes. These two have better storylines.
It would hilariously kill joy if we all watch it up to ep 40 n at the end of it, HXY never revealed to LuMan that…

HXY didn't reveal it lol he keep his mouth shut. It was Lin Qing who spill it out. He can't stand the conflict anymore lol. Will review more on this later.
HXY and Lu Man got a sweet closure scene in the end. He cares for her in a brotherly way.
Starting episode 32, this drama became watchable again lol with some skipping ..
So true. I'm up to 34 with lots of skipping the supporting roles. Its much more pleasant and sweeter now when they bicker less starting 32 onwards. Feels much better when FL started to show some 'care' for ML. That kiss on the swing is much better than the previous few kisses.
