He's not handsome, he's middle aged, face not pretty and gaunt, and he's short, but he is attractive in his dramas that I have watched. Yes I do think Team leader Xu is eye candy but truth is he's not handsome lol

It is unexpectedly a pretty good drama although look low budgeted. The two leads interactions are especially so funny and the workplace plot suprisingly good although there are flaws here and there.

I didn't know Cai Wen Jing can do comedy and a bubbly role like this. She's hilarious and naturally refreshing, and very pretty too ^^

After 20 episodes, the plot is ok although there are some flaws here and there but not that bad. I'm not too sold on the MLs but neither I think Jin Han for example is as bad as what the reviews said. He doesn't have the looks but his acting is acceptable, but PXR is good, I love her role and acting in here. Her screen presence as the FL is so good ^^

I don't pay much attention to the romance though, mostly invested on PXR character

Da Yu love parts can be totally fast forwarded and will not affect the main master/apprentice line at all. The banters and kisses between them are so redundant and they have zero chemistry. Mainly I'm not fond of the character Tang, she's just a tool person for some supposedly dramatic twist in the latter parts.

Xu love scenes with Yi Fei are more subtle and the character Yi Fei itself contributes to the team and is loveable - sweet, mature, smart. They are watchable and not annoying, in fact kinda cute.

Wow that was pretty mean. He is not a handsome guy for sure but the drug addict comment is quite rude.

The police and his brother parts are among my least favorites. I don't care much about them haha but yes there are glitches on that and no explanation on how/why he become 'front man'. I feel this part is a bit mediocrely done.

Up to 16 episodes I say watch this for stress free entertainment and for abundance of adorable Lusi ^^

Just don't expect much from the plot, editing, other cast actings, production details and you'll get some happy pills haha. It's a fun brainless drama to get free from stressful days

Yes indeed drama watching is personal preference. I have many dramas or films which I enjoyed but others got bored at first episode haha. Maybe Avenue X has her own views and preference., as do all of us here :)

It really depends on how we feel watching the drama at the moment, wether we found something we can enjoy. Sometimes I can enjoy a drama with lots of flaws with shoddy production values but feel meh at a big budget production with A list actors and directors - very subjective ^^

Pros:
-interesting premise and concept
-nice film texture, sets
-fine actings from the cast
-quite gripping and thrilling during the games

Cons:
-some draggy parts although this only 9 eps lol. Maybe got too much talking
-old man plot twist need more explanations?
-i wish there are more game parts and more challenging games lol
-cliches here and there

But overall a good production and enjoyable watch. Love that ifs only 9 eps ^^

Lusi's best scenes in DITK to me are her emotional ones, not the funny ones which of course she's so natural at.

I can still remember the scene of her first dinner date/breakup date with LJ where her performance throughly mesmerized me, how her mood and expressions changed 180 deg, I truly felt for her. I can understand why DITK director loves her so much and call her 'little zhou xun'. Coupled with great cinematography by the director, good lines, and strong ML partner, that scene was nicely done imo and made me think wow Lusi can do something like this!

And don't even say about TLB, a new role for her, everything is natural, all her tears were heartfelt from the heart. The pinnacle of her acting work so far.

I agree. While TROTAR is a better drama all around and propelled Lusi to another level, she showed that she can do well in emotional scenes in DITK, and she's even better in TLB which is her pinnacle role so far.

Same here. These two dramas are not as good as her previous. Really looking forward for WRTW and LLTG and HT

It's such a pity that the crime detection and Wang's bg story isn't done well but has ample screentime(I skip all of Teacher Tang! But Xu's forensic partner is likeable.). Wang/Xu master-apprentice parts are actually so good and they have effective chemistry.

If this is a BL like Killer and Healer perhaps the bg line could be scrapped, sadly it's not.

'Jumpy from scene to scene' is the editor's responsibility, not the female lead hahaha

I can't wait for Lusi 's dramas with stronger plots and MLs (YY, WL, HMH) to be aired. In Please feel At Ease Mr Ling and this drama it's like Lusi has to carry MLs and the show on her own lol.

Exactly, so many let downs in terms of plot, editing, MLs actings and some production details, and I still feel it even after lowering down expectations since this is a low cost drama, but the quality is far behind TROTAR last year. If the female lead is not played by Lusi, I might've skipped this.

I think Lusi's team must've picked this script before the success of TROTAR.

Haha it doesn't matter to me who gets hurt but I cringed at how they wrote it. I know all along this is a brainless light hearted cop drama but can't help it. These scriptwriters really can't do logic!

Isn't Xu so smart and attentive? What makes him so confident going to a hideout without his protective jacket? Wth he doing exposing himself to the mysterious shooter? This drama is really a low cost with shoddy direction and script.

Maybe just for the sake making the master fallen gracefully bleeding to death in front of the apprentice so that the apprentice suffers miserably and later can have that sweet apprentice to master 'confession' moment in the ward ^^ - in front of the poor Teacher Tang.
