Ok reading the comments here about two weeks after I put this on hold, it seems like I have made the correct decision.…
I like Joseph too and was saving this drama for later watch, but all the reviews and comments make we skipping this lol.
Let's wait for Heroes. All the bts reuters photos are making me drool. It's definitely a better drama since the director is famous for producing beautiful pictures onscreen and gorgeous landscapes. Joseph will look even more handsome under his camera, and he's already so good looking now haha https://kisskh.at/67855-say-hero-who-is-hero
Her name is Liu Qiqi (刘琪锜). She was fantastic as the young Lin Mo in Love and Destiny. She is only 13.https://kisskh.at/people/34517-liu-qi-qihttps://www.sohu.com/a/500597930_120698899?spm=smpc.sub-channel.fd-news.1.16366572001210UNl7UC
Her resume is seriously outdated lol..can anyone help update her page?
Yes it's her. She also has another drama on air The Twelfth Second.
Haha me too. I love her as young Haishi, not only she can act with expressive eyes but she also has a classic beauty look that suits ancient drama like this ^^
does anyone know the name of actress who plays young haishi?
Liu Qi Qi. Just knew it yesterday ^^. Too bad the page here is not updated and she's grown up prettier than the picture lol https://kisskh.at/people/34517-liu-qi-qi
Watched 2/3 of the first episode until the point Haishi grows up. May continue later. The drama was well produced so far and I love the child Haishi. She has expressive eyes and so pretty too. You can tell this has S+ budget. CGI, cinematography, fight scenes, bgm are done well. The underwater scene with the mermaid at the beginning was beautifully done.
However I can't get William Chan yet. Maybe personally I found him stiff and unattractive here.
This year as I remember was The Long Ballad, Ancient Love Poetry, YAMG and upcoming Sword Snow Stride & Mirror Twin Cities. Next year will be Who Rules the World, Love like the Galaxy and others I forgot.
Yes .. Dont know how big but they are saying its s-class drama...
S+ and S-class generally have combinations of some factors such as higher filming budgets, extensive marketing, better production team, big IP, well known casts.
Costume dramas generally take some time before airing because there are a lot of post production work to do. I won't be suprised if Hu Tong can air first haha.

Latest trailer look awesome, but I think it ruled out this drama from classic Wuxia. It's more like fantasy genre, but still looking good nonetheless.
According to Tencent this is one of their S+ class production for this year.
