I heard its bittersweet ending for cheng lingsu... there are previews for final episode... she and ML went back…
Spoilers from Qin Junjie's fans:
Qin Junjie said in interview that Hu Fei in this version finally grew some real feelings for Cheng in the end, that's why it will be more bittersweet when Cheng bye bye, I'm looking forward for her 'farewell' scene the most now
No doubt about it especially the second lead who is rarely seen in this OMG his acting skills are far more better…
Same here I thought Yang Xiao was cooler, Miao is too sad but both are outstanding on their own way, and Miao has more fights.
But maybe above only up to 12 episode and Yang's more outstanding in the middle part when Wuji was mingling with Ming sect(2019 had the most lovable Ming sect for me, minus the last 5 episodes), and when his daughter wants to marry 6th Wudang Uncle 😂
He should do more wuxia, he's right at home in this genre and for his age he seems pretty agile.
Dating in The Kitchen is a nice romcom drama, I recommend it for anyone who can stand the age difference, the…
"little Lusi" LMAO she's not litte she's 21 during filming 😂
There's an older woman-younger man airing now called Falling in Love, or you can wait for Wu Lei's Nothing But You(this one from the director of Dating in The Kitchen expect lots of steamy hugs and kisses!)
Xiao Mei appeared only once in the novel, in Shang Manor story, she is older than Miao Ruolan, coz at that time…
I don't care about her extended scenes because she's cute, but some novel fans are annoyed at her screentime since her character is almost non existent in the novel 😅
This is surprisingly good. I am surprise there isn’t much hype about this show.
I have some issues with this drama's script, but other aspects of this drama such as the martial arts, acting, ost, art direction have been very good and deserves recognition, too bad it's not getting any hype. Other than that, an orthodox old school wuxia like this is not everyone's cup of tea.
Yup this drama has little to no promotion and the novel was unpopular to begin with, it was believed that the production have little budget for the publicity and the platform(Tencent) doesn't care much, it might be good enough for them that this little drama can successfully finish airing LOL
Putting aside the envy, Tian to Miao situation is like a fan turned into an extreme anti-fan when he realized…
From what I remember he's entirely for wealth and fame, his motivation to seduce Nan Lan is to make Miao give him map of the treasure(this treasure plot omitted because it will cause copyright issue with the sequel novel)
another good episode 36!!! Nan Lan finally heard the whole truth. That Guinong guy only wants her because he wants…
Putting aside the envy, Tian to Miao situation is like a fan turned into an extreme anti-fan when he realized he's not getting what he wanted from his idol this is not like the treasure greedy Tian in the novel LMAO
Hu Fei was the people’s hero. I don’t like how Cheng Lingsu just keeps highlighting his recklessness here…
Yeah you're right, in Hu Fei/Miao Renfeng/Chen Jialou's world there is no Qigong magical power anymore, they're more like normal human beings with great swordplays. Actually I think Chen Jialou is the best among them, more powerful than Miao.
I think Miao Renfeng said in his interview that he thinks Miao's power is less than half of Yang Xiao because Yang is mainly magic Qi power.
1. A lot of whitewashing.: - Yuan Ziyi is more empathetic - Nan Lan and Tian Guinnong enough said about them 🤮…
Maybe for dramatic tearjerker punch at the end...
I think in the novel Hu Fei still go to fight with Tian after Cheng's death, but in the drama it seems the fight will be placed while Cheng is still alive

I heard both MCH and CLS will be killed off in the last episode ep. 40, wait and see how.
But this drama modified MCH situation, in the novel it was Chen Jialou who pretends to be Fu at her deathbed, in the drama there is no Chen Jialou, so they are bringing real Fu to her? The romance version trailer also showed this.....

Hu Fei(and Fei Hu Wai Zhuan novel) is the least popular compared to the other protagonists of Jin Yong listed up there, those are all first tier novels, Fei Hu Wai Zhuan is around second tier and it' s less popular than sister novel Xue Shan Fei Hu.
My personal take is that other than not paying attention to Cheng, Hu Fei is also not as strong in his martial arts compared to those protagonists of more popular novels. As undecisive Zhang Wuji is in his love life, his Great Shift of Heaven and Earth can repel thousands of arrows 😁 Fei Hu martial arts are weaker and more realistic
My favorite is Qiao Feng by Hu Jun and Felix Wong. As for Wallace Chung and Tony Yang, err I wished theirs never been made....

The comments on this drama page sometimes more enjoyable than the drama itself haha 😂
I agree though, Miao looks good in that 'sauce' eyeliner and lipstick. Accompanying pics credit to twitter source:

Too bad it's not going to happen☹️
This drama is not following the Young Flying Fox novel ending for Miao, Tian and Nan Lan.
Wu Lei is too cute in this!
