except for that lip color. I don't know why they can't stop putting on lip color for women who are supposed to…
Yes, but the question is why feminizing men and making them look softer makes them more appealing to Korean girls/women? As a woman, it doesn't make them more appealing to me. When I see an actor with bright red lipstick I feel repulsed or, in the best case, amused, it seems ridiculous to me. Of course all actors all over the world wear makeup to minimize flaws and enhance their features, including lipstick, but it is of a more neutral, natural colour, so that they look as if they didn't wear any.
Just watched episode 1 and I’m thinking of dropping it. I just watched finished blossomand I’m kinda disappointed…
You do know that the Joseon period extended up to almost the 20th century, right? It's the longest dynasty in the world. At some point Korea stopped being isolated and started getting "exotic" Western stuff. We also saw glasses with champagne and Western-style opera singers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseon#16th–19th_century
Don't think there's gonna be any hype... Competition has been tough on the weekend slot this year... They'd probably…
The actors are not anything to write home about, the plot is far from original (apart from the "hotel" idea, which is new) and the humour not really funny. I don't dislike it, but I think it's average. A bit like Hwarang, but Hwarang had some interesting actors to hide the nothingness of the screenplay.
Kim Minjung owned her character. I can tell she changed it to her style, interpreted it the way she wants, and…
I like her, but she has some mannerisms that she carries in all her roles. My Dear Citizens, Devil Judge, here... They make her characters feel more or less the same although they are not.
Lmao 🤣🤣 Prince wanted to check the golden key so bad without knowing that she's a woman and trying to peek…
This golden key is not very well kept. She should have put it in a little simple white cloth bag and keep it more deeply inside, not sticking out so obviously.
I am sure that if they cast a big name like Lee Jong Suk, they will change the screenplay so that his role becomes…
You have a point. Sometimes screen writers only get some inspiration from the source material and make lots of changes, but sometimes they don't, so we have no way of judging what would happen in this instance. Unless he has been shown a detailed synopsis and the first 3-4 episodes and they are outstanding, he also cannot be sure of the outcome.
man this was such a shit webtoon , the whole story exists just to glorify the female leadcharacters' whole personality…
I am sure that if they cast a big name like Lee Jong Suk, they will change the screenplay so that his role becomes equally important to the female lead. He wouldn't accept it otherwise, and thus the balance might be better in the drama than in the webtoon.
sageuk isn't my genre so i'll be quietly hoping he declines 🤡 assuming they'll convert the webtoon setting…
Sageuk? This doesn't sound as a sageuk at all. More like the Eternal Monarch, maybe set in the past. When the Empress goes to the West, the whole setting will be Western, right?
