I actually stayed because of the acting. The writing is another thing but its not the worst. Lukily its ending…
I also don't work for Viki that much anymore. Just one drama at a time, and sometimes with month-long gaps between. Real life has caught up with me as well. And things there are very disappointing nowadays.
The lover is in America. We saw him at the beginning of the show. Is he a sailor, that he has to have one in every…
Whatever. It's not that important. He might have told this person beforehand, or called him to explain while he was at the airport. The important thing is that he has a life there.
I’m sorry but I have to defend Dohan here. because some people can’t seem to stop kicking all the blame on…
I wholeheartedly agree with you. Except for one thing. The brother didn't try to steal his fiancée while he thought his brother was straight. Only after learning about it he went to the bridal shop and dragged her away in her wedding gown (it bothered me that the shop girls didn't run after them) and then finally confessed his feelings. Up to that point, he had been trying very hard to suppress them. But yes, Do Han is trying to save himself, but he didn't point a gun at his friend's head, she agreed to do this! After all, three years of doing whatever you like, in luxury, in a foreign country isn't such a bad deal. The only negative would be that divorcees have a bad reputation in Korea, but I don't think she would be the sort of person to care too much about that.
I'm watching ep10 and Ji-Han is too ridiculous. What was A-Jeong supposed to do? Was she supposed out Do-Han to…
They always do this in drama. They make a character have an unreasonable reaction at first, and then he or she cools down and sees sense (which was obvious to us from the beginning). They do it mostly to create drama. If everyone was cool and okay with everything from the get go, how would they fill episodes? In other cases, like old-fashioned views held by elders in family dramas like Father is Strange, Once Again, Five Children etc., the writers do it because they want to placate the old-fashioned viewers (remember that family dramas are seen by the whole family), who need representation. They must be able to see themselves in some of the characters, and, like the characters, be convinced little by little by the more progressive arguments, and led by the hand to slowly accept them.
Dear all, I am part of the English editing team at Viki. If you want to watch, and you want the best experience, please wait at least 24 hours from when the subtitles are ready. Viki is bringing it pre-subbed by professional subbers, as it lately does for all popular K-dramas, and wants us to release to Other Languages BEFORE WE HAVE A CHANCE TO EDIT IT, so that the other languages can be ready in 24 hours. We will be editing while the other languages have already started translating, so as to have the episode ready when the Other Language editors come. I know most people won't care, they are in a rush to watch it as soon as English is available. And it's perfectly okay, not judging anyone - I also do this sometimes. I'm posting this info for those who do care.
Very bland drama. And the FL enabling child-like, entitled behaviour by her lover is terrible. Frankly, after episode 8, I thought it was finished. What else can they put for the last two episodes?
Another run-of-the-mill Chinese drama seemingly made for 12-year olds. I dropped it after five episodes. Can't they think of something more interesting instead of always the same clichés? And those females who act and speak like children, they are so cringe. That's how the Chinese see women or want women to be? Ugh!
That was a very good drama, well-written and well-played (with juicy and interesting villains). Until the drawn-out and super-yawn-inducing finale. And the award for the most boring drama-couple of the year goes to... It's weird. Park Min Young has chemistry with ALL her co-stars. But I suppose it's the exception that proves the rule.
If you are sleepless and stressed, you may find this very calming, sweet and a bit boring. Everything you need to have a peaceful sleep. Yes, there is a place and a utility even for this kind of entertainment.
