MDL is very useful as a database of the dramas/movies you watched or plan to watch. Taking part in discussions is an optional, you don't have to do it.

I get what you're saying: a novel has added descriptions of places, action details and also feelings, so it's obviously more fleshed-out and satisfying than a cartoon. So is a drama, of course.
However - and this is also true of actual literary books turned into movies or dramas - I think that these are vastly different media, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and should be judged on their own merits, independently, without comparing all the time.
I also believe that being faithful to the source is not always or necessarily a good thing. Some things might work better in the drama format and some others work better in the book/webtoon/web novel format.
