If it were a Janapese drama, you could expect someone to die. They love doing that. Since it's not Japanese, there is still hope.

I was always surprised that they kept writing this sort of trope, but then I saw a timed comment on Viki, that said something on the lines of "Ooooh, they were destined! How romantic!" So I asked "Are you Asian" and surprisingly the person was still there (maybe watching at the same time) so she replied to me "Yes".
Then I understood. It seems that East Asian audiences love this trope. Drama producers are not idiots, to put something that their audience doesn't want. We the international public are not their main target - although in the last couple of years this has been changing, what with Netflix etc.

Well, if, for instance, you push someone and the person hits their head on the wall, or on a fire hydrant on the pavement, or the push is in the direction of the street and there's a car passing at that time ... then it could result in a serious injury. It wasn't your strength as such, but the hard object they fell onto.

In such cases, except for witnesses, what other evidence could they have? The other victim was hospitalized I believe, so that was evidence. But if it wasn't that serious to go to the hospital, and if no one was present, how could one have proof?
These cases are difficult, and of course we weren't there, so very often there's no way of knowing what is true and what isn't. But lack of evidence is not proof of innocence either.
