I’ve never seen a drama by this writer! I’ve obviously heard of the majority of her dramas and they are definitely on my to watch list, but this is my first I’m actually watching and I have to say after the first episode I’m loving it! I’m a big fan of the majority of the cast, but I’ve only ever seen Lee Min Ho in BOF and can’t believe that 11 years later he looks exactly the same - obviously apart from now having much better hair!
Seo Ji Hoon is becoming the new Ji Soo for me, always the second male lead and never the lead. Hopefully like Ji Soo he’ll soon break through and get that male lead role, but looks Iike it definitely won’t be in this drama. I don’t really even want him to have a side romance with Jo Woo Ri in this because I’m still so bitter over the character she played in Beautiful Love Wonderful Life!
You've gotta respect him working in theatre for so long, then making his screen debut after he hit 30 and he's a genuinely great actor and a sweetheart on 2D1N. Honestly though I need him as a male lead more. Catch the Ghost wasn't enough for me!
I've woken up my flatmates from laughing so loudly at clips of this at 3am. Looks like I'm going to have to watch the full episodes and catch up now! I'm such a big Kim Seon Ho fan, but I'm loving them all in the clips, Ravi is unintentionally so funny and and Se Yoon is just straight up hilarious. But I love all of what I've seen of the cast so far!
That hand hold had more tension than any kiss scene or sex scene I've ever seen...their chemistry is insane and the beauty of this drama is insane! I really didn't want this week's episodes to end!
I love him in A Piece of Your Mind - all the characters are very hurt and complex, but he seems to be the most complex. I love watching his scenes, I'm definitely a big fan!
I think the thing I liked the most about this drama is how they portrayed friendships. Didn’t love the overall plot, but that’s really because this isn’t my favourite genre more than anything else. Direction, acting, cinematography and music were all stunning and I can’t wait to soo what each one of them do next! It quite a strong Kill Bill vibe which I loved. Very enjoyable short drama!
So let me get this right. They all died, in the particular ways that each of them are dying currently. Miss Lee then reset on her own and made it so that none of them died which was the timeline we were introduced to the characters in and then she called them back a year later with them all alive and asked them to reset and see if they would die when they go through the reset. Is that right? I'm a little confused. So the whole objective was to see if people who do the reset will still die after doing it whilst she can also have fun with them. Is that it?
There are so many good airing dramas that overshadowed something as cringey as Welcome and an inconsistent plot…
I didn’t say that they were the best dramas ever, I said that they were some of my current favourites and I’m entitled to enjoy what I enjoy. And sorry, perhaps I should have been a little clearer, when I said romance dramas, I meant dramas where the main genre is romance. When the Weather is Nice is a romance and has much lower ratings than dramas of different genres. Hospital playlist is a lifestyle, comedy and medical drama before a romantic drama. And Find Me in Your Memory I love and think is a fantastic drama but it’s got a stalker and murder plot deeply woven into it. And you may want to dispute it but it’s been a very well known fact for a while now that romance dramas perform much worse than other genres with Korean audiences. Rom coms used to be so big in Korea, it didn’t mean they were extremely well made , but that didn’t stop audiences enjoying them then, but now audiences tastes have changed which is why fewer lighter romance dramas are being made and why some of the ones that are are getting cut.
Did this get episodes cut as well? If it did that's 2 of my favourite dramas that are cut now. A Piece of Your Mind had an announcement though, so maybe this was always meant to be 24 episodes? It's got such low numbers though so I could see it get episodes cut because of that too. I guess people just don't like romance dramas anymore. I just hope if it is cut that it won't ruin the speed of the drama, it's half way through now!
In the first and second episode were they taking the civil servant exam or an exam to get into Sungkyunkwan university??? My subs kept swapping between the 2 - please tell me that'd be a big help after my confusion.
Am I the only one finding it crazy that the 2nd male lead is only two years older than the ML? He seems at least…
Jung Hae In did this show where he went to the US and in one part he tried to order a beer and they asked to see his ID, he thought it was funny considering he's in his 30s
I find that I’m the same. I always seem to quite enjoy characters that everyone else seems to hate. In Doctor Stranger I really didn’t get it at all, I really liked both the SFL and FL, but I enjoyed our leads love story and their chemistry so much more, also it was very clear the SFL never would stand a chance so I don’t know why they decided to include that storyline. And then for Cunning Single Lady I loved the FL, it’s a female lead we don’t get very often, so it made it quite a refreshing drama. Also I went into CSL not liking the FL actress, because she was the main reason I couldn’t enjoy or finish ‘Big’, but her performance and role in CSL completely changed my mind and helped me to appreciate her as an actress. I’d been holding off on Siege in Fog because I’d heard how hated the FL is in that, but if she’s on a list with these other characters I really like, maybe I should just jump into it!
Seriously some of the best cinematography and unique directing choices I've ever seen in a tv show. It could have a boring storyline and I'd still watch it, it's a bonus that the storyline is also pretty intense, such a shame that it's halfway done already!
Cut by 4 whole episodes!?!? I'm a little annoyed. I know it doesn't have the best ratings for tvn but the pacing was perfect for this story in my opinion. It took its time building naturally and realistically. It's such a shame to shorten a show to speed up its pacing when that's something that makes this show so unique and enjoyable. Lee Sook Yun and Lee Sang Yeob you deserved your full 16 episodes
So it's from the writing team that did Psychopath Diary and the Director of Shopping King Louis and A Piece of Your Mind - that's such an interesting core team.
Wait...so they were all dead? When??? I'm so into this drama. I have no idea what's going to happen but I'm all in! I'm guessing her daughter died in that train crash, I really don't know what's going on, but it's so good
Iike it definitely won’t be in this drama. I don’t really even want him to have a side romance with Jo Woo Ri in this because I’m still so bitter over the character she played in Beautiful Love Wonderful Life!
