The main characters middle brother is gay. She makes a reference to him having had so many boyfriends. He also works at a gay bar. And there was a little scene where he was looking over at a guy who wanted to go into the gay bar but was too scared to and it looked like that might become a storyline
I like it. I've only seen the first episode but I enjoyed it. Sure its stupid, but its funny stupid. I really enjoyed the female leads character and Kim Seul Gi was a superstar as per usual. And a gay character seeming to have a prominent role - that never happens! This drama was never going to be groundbreaking and was never going to stand up to Extraordinary You, but it shouldn't have to stand up to EY. EY's finished, the stories over and this new drama has just happened to take its time slot now its over. Any way I like Love With flaws - it's making me laugh and smile and if something does that I'm in.
we got some canonically gay characters! maybe not the ones we originally thought, but honestly any representation in a korean drama I will be extremely grateful for!
HE WROTE my dear loser: edge of seventeen?!?! - This is the best thai drama I've seen so far. Mushroom and Peach were too cute for words and In and Sun are by far my favourite thai bl couple. I'm officially a fan now!
So many people are having issues with this drama, but I'm just sat here grinning ear to ear and loving every second of it. Hao Ting and Xi Gu are seriously up there for me as one of my cutest otps.
this is exciting - admittedly not my favorite writer BUT- i would LOVE to see Park So Dam do another drama...she's just brilliant. Fingers crossed she accepts the offer or if not this one another one and soon!
the promo shots for this drama were really cool and different and I'm really into the poster for the drama, but its gonna be so hard to follow up Extraordinary You. Still I'm crossing my fingers this drama is interesting and not like every other drama with a similar synopsis. I'm starting it for Kim Seul Gi, I hope I continue watching it for the plot...
i'm loving this so so much so far. History2 Crossing the Line has always firmly been my favorite of the history stories, but MODC is seriously giving it a run for its money on my list. im not a big fan of the second couple, it seems a little forced, but that being said i am a big fan of Hao Ting and Sun bo's friendship. And every second Hao Ting and Yu Xi Gu spend on screen together is beautiful, the chemistry is insane between the pair of them, just...wow
seol ah & joon hwi are the reason I will be watching all 100 episodes - we're a quarter of the way through and he may finally be starting to like her back!?!?!?
I've only ever seen him in Dramaworld and Dramaworld was the first kdrama I ever watched. I remember when I got into kdramas a little more I went to look up to see what else he had been in because of he'd done a good performance and was also very pretty and I was so shocked to find he'd been in barely anything. So glad hes finally getting some recognition.
It really stands out to me when female leads have great characterization, because I find a lot of the time they annoyingly come across as one thing and I love nothing more than a well rounded female character. In terms of an older drama that includes brilliant characterization I would say My Lovely Sam Soon is the best example I've seen. This isn't a perfect drama and not all the characters in that drama are well developed, but its the best characterization I've possibly ever seen for a female lead. Then for a more recent drama I would say that Extraordinary You, which is currently airing, has started off with brilliant characterizations for all its characters, even the ones who are supposed to be a walking taking cliche, the writers and actors have somehow added another layer to all of them, but most importantly you see this with Dan Oh, the female lead, as you start the show you see her 'find' her real personality and the first couple of episodes are mainly her alone and if it wasn't for her really brilliant characterization I never would've been so hooked.
This drama has flown up through the ratings on mydramalist and I love that! Especially with how dubious the majority of people seemed when the trailer dropped. I personally think this drama is as good as its rating (at the moment), it somehow keeps getting better and better. To me its a complete work of art the directing is beautiful, the cast is brilliant and the story....just WOW...I have so many questions, yet its perfect. I cant praise this drama enough and I'm an adult, who really isn't a fan of high school dramas, but this one is just magic. I'm so in love with it.
This is one of the best and most refreshing kdrama's I've seen in a while. I always know where kdramas are going to end up and usually how they're going to get there, that's something I tend to like about them, but with Extraordinary You I have no idea what twist the show will be taking every five minutes let alone for the rest of the series. I have so many questions and am having to stop myself from searching for the manhwa. I'm so glad slowly more and more international fans are picking it up and showing it love after hearing its not doing so well in South Korea. I'm so in love with this drama.
Anyone know if there's going to be a part 3 for season 3 of the HIStory series? After this one?
They tend to do each part yearly, so the first 3 HIStory mini series were released throughout 2017 and both of the HIStory2 series were released throughout 2018. The next HIStory project they are hoping to release after MODC is the HIStory2 Crossing the Line movie, which (if it gets the funding) is expected to be released in 2020, so there are no plans for a part 3 of HIStory3, but I'm hoping they will get the funding for HIStory4 in 2020.

mydramalist: it has the fourth highest rating of all asian dramas
me: surprised pikachu meme
