It was always going to be difficult for this drama to be really well received. It's got Love By Chance hanging over it because of Saint, which we all know is regarded as one of the best BLs and we've also just come out of 2019 the best year for BLs ever, we had Theory of Love, Dark Blue Kiss, both History3 series, TharnType and it was the start Until We Meet Again too just to name a few of my personal favourites. That being said the first episode was alright and if we should've learned anything from TharnType, don't judge a drama on its first episode alone.
Hani is acting the hell out of this. I've only ever seen her as one of the main hosts of A Style for You and this character is extremely different to how she presented herself on that. And so I can't believe that this is her first drama and she's just blown me away. This drama has such an interesting feel to it too! I seriously can't wait to see what's to come. Bae In Hyuk is also definitely someone to watch - I've seen him in 2 webseries now and he always seems to catch fans eyes more than anyone else.
He's brilliant in Kiss Scene and although XX has just started I'm enjoying him in that too. It's so obvious he's going to be a massive star soon (he's only 21) and he'll get more than web drama roles - I'm ready to see him in a full length kdrama.
I'm 60 episodes in, but what was my cute drama where I could switch off and squeal about my favourite ships has turned into a painful, depressing drama. Im struggling to continue, but i am because I love all these characters so much, but 40 episodes of these current depressing storylines is gonna be... tough.
I'm only on episode 14 but why is Kang Dong Joo never involved in any of the heart surgeries - I sear he said he is a heart surgeon, yet whenever a patient with a bad heart comes along they get Yun who’s an ER doctor or, In Beom who’s a general surgeon...I’m very confused.
Seo Ji Hoon the second male lead again. I know he's only been it a couple of times but I already want him to be a male lead! But then again I'm apparently one of the few here who loves L - his comedic sense of time and chemistry he has with his onscreen partners will make this the adorable fluffy drama I've been waiting for!
Whilst watching 'Kiss Scene' I am loving her and I kept thinking she looked familiar, but I had no idea she was the adorable princess from 'My Only Love Song' - she was the stand out character in that drama and it was her first! I'm officially a big fan now!
I'm starting to dislike Dr Kim - it's just because he's so chummy with Do In Bum and he's the least deserving person of it. He gets all this praise from everyone and he's just an ass all the time. Seven episodes in and my dislike of Do In Bum is starting to affect the drama for me! I don't know why I hate him so much - because I really like the actor
Joo Sang Wook has this great natural charisma and likability about him , but for some reason in the dramas I’ve seen him in he never has the best chemistry with his leading ladies. For example in cunning single lady his chemistry was better with L than his leading lady (although I did enjoy how the leads relationship was written in CSL) and I only finished FantastiC to see if JiSoo would end up with his love interest, rather than Joo Sang Wook and his partner. I really enjoy watching him act, but I have a feeling that I may not be feeling the chemistry here either, I am only 1 episode in though and I’m enjoying so many other aspects of the drama, so a lack of chemistry wont bother me too much.
This last episode was quite a lot with Cha In Ha's characters storyline, I felt so uneasy and so so sad watching it. It's great that this drama was brave enough to explore this topic and I know we don't really know how Cha In Ha sadly passed away, but if it's what everyone speculating that makes this episode a really hard one to sit through for me. RIP Cha In Ha.
I find myself playing on my phone whenever the lead couple are on screen and I constantly rewind and even sometimes squeal for the side characters scenes. I was even cry laughing at some of the side characters storylines recently - It's so strange how parts of this drama are written so well, but I find myself so bored with the leads interactions and I do like the leads. For example I love Seo Yoons scenes with her different brothers and how her relationship with each sibling is different and I really enjoy Kang Woos scenes with his best friend, but the 2 of them together in my opinion are sadly dull...
The look and feel of this are so perfect and it feels so new and different that I'm so excited for every new 10 minutes they release. Honestly these short episodes seriously brighten up my week! I hope this cast and director have bright futures ahead of them, because after this I know I will be keeping my eye out for them!
Bae In Hyuk is also definitely someone to watch - I've seen him in 2 webseries now and he always seems to catch fans eyes more than anyone else.
