oh my gosh, thank you! 💐I can now find the songs, which I love. I really thought this was BL. Even after only 2 episodes I can see the couples. Fingers crossed I get to see the entire first season and second season on Viki. Viki has it with 9 episodes currently. And I can't wait to see the new opening/ending songs. 😄
Episode 12. Scary how everyone surrounded the poor guy (Willow Leaf?) with their phone cameras in his face probably broadcasting live. In the real world this would probably completely ruin someone's life. How would you recover from that? Once again, I really wish they translated text too. I know the youtube subs are pretty bad, but they could at least try text too. 😉
Wow, the first 2 episodes were really well done. I'm not familiar with the story at all so I think they did a good job of introducing us. The 2 MLs are so frickin' adorable! But it looks like from episode 1 someone has to die.... Can we talk about those songs/dances/music videos? Like wth was that? 😂The first one they showed was great with the sword dance movements. The second one was so cute and funny, but does it fit the series? Oh well, I enjoyed! Since I'm watching on Viki I have to wait 6 more days for the next 2 episodes 🥺
Episode 40, the brides reveal themselves. omg I was🤣 with Sai'er's facial expressions! Now that's a girl who wants to do a runner! The triple wedding was sweet. (Hey where are the slave parents?) And does that mean no one becomes the next princess too since they both married unsuitable people? I can't help but think, 3 very awkward kisses lol Sai'er and crazy general did a good kiss! Did you see the lipstick on both their faces? 💋💄 Oh I love the retrospective of the past doppelgängers since he met her. That's so well done and so cool! See, wouldn't it be fun to have a show with Sai'er and crazy general. He made porridge but forgot the rice? 😂 That final dance scene was surreal but funny. All in all, the last few episodes made up for the crap fillers in between. They really should have just cut those episodes out. They added nothing to the storyline; they actually detracted. I personally was tempted to drop, which I never thought I would do with a Leo Luo show! I watched most of those episodes at 2x the speed, another thing I never do. I am glad I stuck around till the end. It was all worth it. Lordy, that Leo Luo is just the sexiest damn man alive, isn't he? Even without the flowing hair and eye liner/shadow
I want a series with Sai'er and Bieli! I love how adorable they are together. Great characters. And I remember how much I detested the crazy general before.
Episode 39. I'm not sad the evil doctor lady got killed. Karma, am I right? Once again, Yan Nanxing has forgotten that she used to be a badass martial artist and needs saving and can't protect herself. So sad. Really really really hating the character of the grand councilor or whatever his title is. He should be sitting on a throne-like chair stroking a hairless cat while he does all those fake Bond villain laughs. 'no Mr Bond, prepare to die. Bwahahahahaha' omg kill the bastard already! you know when you let the bad guys live it will come back to bite you in the arse. - never mind, he's been executed yeah! Poor Yan Nanxing as a grandma. And ML not recognizing her 😢 (not saying that in an ageist way, I'm just as frickin' old) Well, it was super easy convincing the king/emperor/whatever wasn't it? Oh yeah, the sister isn't engaged anymore lol. Nice of the big bad to kill off the fiancé, wasn't it? And there goes the ML down for the count. hmmm, have they perfected brain surgery too? otherwise, what are all the bloody bandages for? His facial blindness has been cured, yeah! Yan Nanxing is still missing, boo
Episode 37. This is the best character I think I've seen Guan Zi Jing play. I love him as a badass warrior instead of the comic relief he has been in the last few shows I've watched. I'm heartbroken that they killed him off. 😭
And the mother too. Damn, I didn't want this series to end with everyone dying off like this. Don't tell me, let me guess, all the bad guys will get to live and not be punished in any meaningful way but a lot of characters we do like will die. Is this going to be another Journey to Death, I mean Love?
And....here comes another divorce. Damn, the ML is kicking the FL down hard. She just lost everything, including her mother and bam! Let's divorce so I can run way back to the city and sacrifice myself in some stupid blaze of glory.
Hey, how come the FL has a horse but the ML is running? And why hasn't Yan Nanxing the miracle doctor healed the ML yet? I mean, she can replace a nose and an eye, a simple head injury should be a piece of cake.
Ahh, the grand councilor is the head bad guy and now the king/emperor/whatever is hooked on drugs. And here is the payoff for the sister betraying Yan Nanxing.
The ML's sister Suoluo. What she did today is unforgiveable imho. If the writers end up giving her a redemption arc after all and a happy ending I will be so disappointed.
Episode 35, I'm officially writing off the sister as a lost cause. I now hope she dies a horrible disease-ridden death all alone. I'm so angry at her! 😠
Oh FL, how stupid are you? Trusting the sister is a terrible mistake. She has been doing her best to get her brother killed for 35 episodes, now she's going to do her best to get you killed too
Yes! Wen Kexing is my favorite character of all times. I always say I want to learn how to flirt with a fan like him! And I’m adding who rules the world to my list. Thanks again!
Episode 11. I'm in heaven. He Xu joining everyone on a camping trip. And Qiao Ling commenting on how much she likes his hair. With He Xu and Lu Guang arguing philosophical morality. And yep, I think He Xu is a bad guy! But he makes a deliciously wonderful bad guy, doesn't he? The bike goes perfectly with his character.
Qiao Ling, how could you do that to your friend and coworker! Poor guy was crushed you didn't show to his book signing. But all was not lost, he rescued a pretty kitty! But what a terrible ending for this episode.
Episode 10 I'm loving the wacky explanations Cheng Xiaoshi is giving! So damn perfect! I think I said this before, but Bi Wen Jun is a perfect Lu Guang. Listen to his voice and the voice of the actor from the anime. Well done! Except for the hair lol. I wonder when he gets the silver hair and what causes it? 🩶 How fun was that twist in the boxer's story. And completely surprising. Cheng Xiaoshi laughing and hugging and backslapping himself was too frickin' funny! And what a sweet ending to the boxer story. Except I wish they translated the notes. One more thing, at the end while they are sitting there eating having that serious discussion and isn't paying attention, he's watching Tom & Jerry!
