Episode 31 was ok. At least the ML and FL got together, sorta. But why does it feel like all of their chemistry is gone? Did they have a fight in real life? Cause it really seemed like Luo Yunxi wasn't even trying to pretend he was interested in the FL. And he's a damn good actor usually. One of the reasons I love him so much is because of how incredibly romantic and hot he is in all of his other rolls. I don't get it?
Episode 32, why oh why would the sister, who is the most obnoxious, argumentative person out of the entire cast, keep her mouth shut when that slimeball told the empress he wanted to marry her? And then have that jerk interrupt her class like that and take control. She really doesn't have a redemption arc, does she?
And now crazy ass general is stepping out with another female. Let's hope Sai'er stabs the cheating bastard.
I usually don't really care about 2nd or 3rd or 4th or whatever couples, but this series is now just really starting to irritate the hell out of me.
Rewatching this again from where I left off last time. I have to laugh at episode 11. The character Min Hui is so intelligent that she can write code that piggybacks onto a company's wifi to lock and shutdown the CEO's computer in like 3 minutes, but can't follow simple instructions on how to make cupcakes. She's a programmer. One thing we are really super good at is following step by step instructions. 🤣
The cast & crew section mentions two scriptwriters (actually, they could be more than two), but nobody mentioned…
This would completely explain what's happening with the storyline. And I so agree with your assessment too. It's a shame the powers-that-be decided this needed to be padded out to a 40 episode story. I think we would have had a top notch series if it was 20-24 episodes. Not that I'll complain too much. I still love this series, it's just gotten tedious at points. Let's get back to the main story and couple please!
I'm watching on Viki so only at episode 4. I'm loving the FL's boyfriend! 💖He is such a sweetie. (fingers crossed he doesn't end up being a dick!). This series has captured my attention for sure. Besides the obvious eye candy, the story is pretty darn good. Being a female in the IT world also I am so empathizing with the FL! Who hasn't heard those kind of things from male co-workers before 😠
Loving this series so far. The 2 leads are cute as a button. The story is lovely and so heartwarming and heart breaking.
But the mother is pretty useless so far. She should have taken him to the hospital to begin with, maybe he wouldn't have lost his hearing. Instead he was unconscious with a high fever for what, did they say 2 weeks?
Yan Nanxing is truly a miracle doctor! Not only can she do magical nose replacement surgery but can also replace eyes! All without any downtime or side affects. Amazing. 🤣
Episode 29. How fun to see Hong Yao. I love that look for him! The hair and eye patch is really working for me!💖 Hopefully he ends up being a good bad guy. The bad lady snuck up behind the FL, but the FL is a badass who knows martial art skills. why would she just lay there and do nothing? completely out of character. I could see it if she was struck on the head or a bunch of people grabbed her, but no struggle and she's not screaming for help or anything. I guess to advance the story line? 🙄 Well, a partial answer on who drugged the FL. So the lady who was the prime minister's henchman is now the beauty shop rival, ok, but how the heck does she end up working for the sister's fiancé? This storyline is getting way too convoluted. The sister's fiancé is the drug kingpin? That doesn't feel right either. And isn't he (and the beauty shop owner/henchman) too young to be the mastermind behind drugging the FL?
This beauty shop owner/henchman is a terrible actress. Or that is the way she is being directed to act? It's like fingernails on a chalkboard. She's worse than a Scooby Doo villain

Ok, venting is over for today 😉
