Seriously, that's the best you can do for a storyline to pad this out to 40 episodes? We don't need filler episodes, let's get back to the romance and mystery! Isn't that weird? I wonder what sort of algorithm they use to decide what to show/what not to show? I mean, they always show all the reality/talent shows on my banners and I never have and never will watch them!
I'm really wondering if iQIYI wants this series to fail. They've completely removed it from the top scrolling banner on both website and app for new and popular shows. And the What's New section only shows the Thai version. Thank gods there is a History section and a Continue Watching section on the app or I might forget about this show completely. (that would never happen, it's my favorite show!) Do they want this to fail, seriously?
I've watched this countless times, have bought and read the books, the comics, the anime, all sorts of behind the scenes and concerts, have all the songs in my music library and listen to them constantly. Yeah, I'll never get over this one!
My favorite scene is episode 2, where Wei Wuxian is playing Wangxian (is that the song's name?) on the flute, backing away to lead Wen Ning away from the younglings, and he backs right into Lan Zhan. There is something so iconic about the way Lan Zhan grabs his wrist, their eyes meet, Wei Wuxian looks away, starts to play the flute again, then when Wen Ning flies off drops the flute and grabs onto Lan Zhan wrist too. Their eyes...🥲
And it's amazing, cause I think you actually have to watch the series more than once to get the emotional feel for that scene. I think the first time I watched the series I knew nothing about the story or what was happening yet so I didn't feel any emotional connection to that scene and just pretty much ignored it. The second time I watched it, I actually had to pause, rewind, and watch a few times. So beautiful! Now I play that scene whenever I need an 'aww' pick me up. 😉

That's not a bad idea! I'm always getting tripped up on names. Especially when people start using initials or nicknames instead of the character names that are shown in MDL. I'm watching a show right now where everyone is referring to a specific character and I can't find them in MDL because the name used in the cast of characters is not the same as what everyone is calling them. Which makes me scratch my head lol. Or maybe I'll just stayed confused. Seems like a lot of work for entertainment 🤣
Episode 22 and I'm finally seeing the bromance, as well as jealousy. Well that went weird fast! Some dude named Shulin showed up, and we were shown some nice reminiscing about the good old days with Lan Jue. Sure seemed like they had/have a thing going. They made a pretty big deal about the fact that they spent all their time together and then lived together on a remote island/house in the middle of a lake. They sure seem cozy together. And damn, Zhang Ping has been drinking vinegar for sure! The daggers he is throwing with his eyes are lethal.
Adding this to my list to watch because of those awesome pictures of the sets. Wow, this looks like it's going to be a gorgeous series! The costumers look good too. The hair, however, is tragic.

Since these episodes are so short I've lost track. I'm now on 10. So, the brother has betrayed her identity to the bad guy, help him kill people and cats, but the FL stabs her police(?) boyfriend almost to death, then is going to stay with the brother and lie to everyone about what he is doing? I think this show is losing it's charm. Killing people is ok, abusing and killing cats is not ok. 😠
Episode 5, finally coming back to this again since I've caught up to everything I've been watching. What's up with the wigs on the guys? The front is good. The top is good. wth is going on with the backs though? They look like they are netted? Different from the usual braid up the middle of the back.
The machine generated subs are still really really bad. But hey, cats! And that's another question, why do all the people have to have cats. I mean, I'm a cat person so I get why I need them, but it's really weird that there's this cdrama where the main theme is a shop that rents out cats where everyone comes in jonesing for cats 🐈🐈⬛😼
