You ever notice that when the evil masterminds are put into prison they are never tortured, they just get to kick back and relax for a few days, and they get to go home, but when a ML is sent to prison he is always tortured. I'll admit, I'm bored and not really paying attention now. 🤣 But seriously, this plot is just making me scratch my head! 🤔 So, originally an evil eunuch stole some money. He had a gang of guys following him that he forced to be castrated cause, I don't know, he was a sadistic bastard? He adopted son(s). He laundered money. He died. The evil father (adopted son) is in charge of the money laundering. But the evil father was smart so he had a kid, banished the kid to hell, then setup an arranged marriage for the kid to some other kid (FL and ML). The evil father put the FL's name on everything even though she was an infant/child/thousands of miles away being abused/tortured/starved/sexually assaulted by her foster parents at the time. All cause the creep evil father is playing 4 dimensional chess while the FL and ML are playing hopscotch and with his crystal ball 🔮he knew that the FL would grow up, kill her foster parents, come back to the city, marry the ML, and they would get together to try and bring him down? And the authorities are believing all this? Do I have this right?🤣🤣🤣
Episode 26. The ML and FL standing over the evil concubine's grave was just such an awesome shot! The angle, the lighting, the music! Perfection!😘 Now I'm just pissed off. Why the hell do they keep doing this whole redemption/forgiveness thing? The evil concubine sent the FL basically to her death and it was only through the FL's sheer tenacity that she was able to survive 17 years of hell. But yeah, all is forgiven, I will save you even though you made me and my mother's life a living hell for 17+ years, let's hug it out now. FFS. 🙄No, kill the evil bitch already!🤬aarrgghh! If you want to see a FL who actually take revenge read Deng Hua Xiao by the same author. This is a FL I adore 🥰 and wish they would adapt (in the right way) to a drama. I just don't think the world is ready for Tong Tong yet! And there is romance but the FL puts that aside until after she gets her revenge. I just finished DHX and dang, that FL is the best! Everything was for revenge. I just loved how the FL was always saying to the ML 'do you want me to kill him?' To me this character and story is how a revenge tale should be. With actual, like, revenge! They all die! In the most wonderfully poetic ways! I don't even know which one was my favorite. Probably the first, drowning in the fish vat after parlyzing with drugs!🐟 😂 Was that the first? But the last few chapters and extras were romance and sweet. And I love the extra chapters. 🥰

In the novel the FL was only 12 or 13 when the story started and the ML was 21 so not a lot of romance for a while. We spend most of the time in the novel with the ML helping the FL out with her revenge schemes but no real romance for a long time. BTW, there's no evil eunuch's castrated adopted sons storyline if the novel. The novel is the FL is murdered by the evil concubine's evil daughter on her wedding night cause the evil concubine's evil daughter had a thing for the groom and the groom had a thing for her too. So they poisoned her on the wedding night, she died and woke up as herself when she was 12 years old. Totally different story! 😂
