Damn, I really want to watch this one. I love Liu Xue Yi and the photos and clips I've seen he looks amazing! And Tiffany Tang looks perfect as the goddess. The 2 of them together match so well physically. This looked like it was going to be so good....
But then....the FL starts speaking and NOOOOO! This goddess should not have a toddler voice! The voice needs to be deeper, slightly husky, powerful. Not a child!

I really thought after the 'accidental falling on top of you kiss' scene we would start having romance. Who knew that not only would there not be romance but the ML actually betrays the FL like that. Even if it was for 'the greater good'.

This is another drama that is foreshadowing 'bad ending' for both leads. It's so far away from the novel that I can't predict what's going to happen. But truthfully, after episode 18 and 19 I am hoping for mutually assured destruction where everyone dies at the end. First time I've wanted that to happen!

I just hope the FL is planning to take out the ML too at the end.

Episode 19. Please kill the evil concubine and her evil spawn! This episode please! Give us something to make up for the tragedy of episode 18. I think we deserve it after 18 episodes of WTF and heartbreak!

I wish the FL would be laughing hysterically right now rather than being all weepy. 😏
Wait, it's over already? Damn was that episode only 15 minutes long! It just started 😭

Well, a couple of things stand out from this episode:
1. he's another adopted son of the evil eunuch Pei. (hmm has he been castrated too? no wonder he says the FL can keep her chastity 😏)
2. he protected the evil father from the FL after the evil father murdered the FL's mother and mother's brand new husband

Episode 18. I don't understand the purpose of that little montage of the father. He murdered his own father (so much for being filial) just for money. Are we supposed to feel sorry for him cause he says he can't sleep?🙄
So it wasn't an act, the ML really is a bad guy too. How disappointing.🤨
The dubbing for the father is really bad and is starting to irritate me. His entire character doesn't show master villain. Just weak sidekick canon fodder. He shows no emotion. Just one expression and that really badly dubbed whisper. Yeah, time for him to die.😵
Mother on the other hand, wow what a character! And what an actress! 😍
Damn, why don't they off the irritating concubine and her evil spawn? FFS don't show a redemption arc for her.😤
Didn't mother's boyfriend say he hired guards to safely escort them? Where are they?

Heartbreaking! I knew this was going to happen but a large part of me just wanted the mother to have a happy ending.💔😭
