Does the story not remind you of The Double? Even there the FL was not rightly placed in terms of age.
Yes, dramas seem to not like the rebirth idea either! Like in The Double, instead of rebirth into a recently dead person she just pretends to be the dead person. Or the Rise of Ning where they just ignore that part of the story. Sort of. Then we have shows like Blossom and Si Jin where they are reborn into themselves just years earlier! Or shows where they never really explain it but the person dies in their world and are reborn into another person in an entirely different world/time like Flourished Peony (novel) or Love of Sword. Not to mention complete reincarnation for tribulations like Love you Seven Times! I am amazed at how many ways they can write the same basic idea into so many different storylines!😂

Yes, I think if they are going to use actors that aren't the right age range then they need to change the story somewhat to be more in keeping with reality. So rather that having a 36 year old woman play a 15 year old girl maybe split the difference and say she's 25 instead? 😏 For this series, I'll watch it and love it no matter what. Just so I can hear the dulcet tones of Zhang Wan Yi😍

The original novel started with the FL's untimely death and rebirth 7 years later into a newly dead girl's body. It's a bit confusing in the novel but I think she was reborn 15 years prior to her death? So transmigration to the past? (And in keeping with the number 7 theme, she was the seventh young miss in the family (counting legitimate and illegitimate daughters) and was 'reborn' at 7 years old.) In the drama they sort of skirted around that issue. 😉

The story is very much like the original novel for The Double, Marriage of the Di Daughter (https://www.wattpad.com/1452650627-part-1-the-double-marriage-of-the-di-daughter) since it has a rebirth theme, unlike the drama. And yes, the age difference between the character and the actress takes a huge suspension of disbelief!😂 The whole rebirth/revenge story is all the rage now. Just the ones I've watched within the past year are the Double, Blossom, The Rise of Ning, Flourished Peony, The Princess Royal (dropped), Story of Kunning Palace (dropped),...too many to list!🤣
Viki has 3 trailers (so far) for this series and boy does it look good!🥰 However, novel readers, this looks like it is very loosely based. Like extremely loosely. Like some characters may have the same name. And there is a dog. But besides that nothing at all like the novel! And the character of the FL is 20 years younger than the actress playing the FL and the rest of the cast are 10-20 years older than their characters. So time to suspend disbelief and just enjoy the story. Anything with Zhang Wan Yi in it is good. And with long hair instead of the oh so tight helmet! And yes, from the trailers it looks like both the ML and the FL are reborn in the series (not the novel). One more day to go!

Yes! Dylan Wang in Guardians of the Dafeng and Deng Wei in Love of the Divine Tree both have curly/wavy/sometimes messy hair that just looks good on them!

Yes, there are some great fun action scenes so far! And real action, not someone waving their arms in front of a green screen! 😂 I haven't seen any BTS of this one yet and I'm really looking forward to seeing some. So far, just in the first 3 episodes, they have had some great wirework and sword work scenes! You're right, the dubbing is just off. I don't know if the FL is dubbing herself or if it's a voice actor, but not only does the voice sound wrong but the words and lips don't correlate!🤣
