Because people have different tastes and see things differently when watching something. One person may see a brilliant script, another will giggle at its naiveté, all the plot holes and convenient coincidences, and yet another will be annoyed by them. Some pay attention to the artistry of the actors, others are all the same, or they like the actor/actress so much that they don't notice their mistakes or just laziness. For some, the character will be written well and intriguing, for others it will be another generic ML. This is true of any production, and it doesn't mean that someone has bad taste and someone else has good taste, it's just that these tastes are different and both parties, both likes and dislikes of a drama, have the right to express their opinion through stars, comments, etc. So if you like a drama and others don't, don't worry about it. Surely there are dramas that you think are terrible, and there were people who praised it a lot and wondered why such a low rating. And if you haven't had such a situation yet - I assure you that there will be :)

This drama happened a long time ago for me. Forgive me for not remembering exactly what I felt, thought and what expectations I had for the drama, which I judged based on impressions on the fly and had no more interest in. Sorry, I can't help you. So I'll just say in very general terms that yes, probably expectations and disappointment had a big impact on my rating. I always expect a good script, good execution and good entertainment. If I don't get that, I don't hesitate to be critical. If viewers always only praise, the quality of productions will go down, not up, because producers will think that the viewer is not demanding. I am. I didn't rate the drama at 1/10, which is to say that I recognize its visual value and there were probably a few interesting scenes, but apparently not enough for me. This drama tired me instead of entertaining me, bored me instead of interesting me, if I expected to be entertained, I actually rated it in terms of my disappointed expectations.

Not for me. On the contrary, it gets worse. I appreciate the idea, I really do, but there is so much energy in this drama that I fell asleep on every episode. Sure, it's just my personal feelings, but I really sleep very well on it.

Gosh, what am I seeing, a review that is full of hate and not even worried about the mental health of the delicate and sensitive Korean actors.

He got at least two awards, one for best actor, the other for best couple as.... Ahn Yu Na together with Oppa. Viki-type sites should have info on this, and there's even a cute video on YT of the awards presentation and the famous “Oppaaaa!” You don't even need to do an advanced search to find out such information, just type in Google :)

By the way, there is no such thing as Oh Ri. There is Oh Ri Jin, or Ri Jin. Koreans do not use the form where there is a last name and one syllable of the first name. Let me explain, Oh is the last name, Ri Jin is the first name. And it is the name of the character, not the actress.

Ha, ha, ha, ha :) This is the first time I've seen a review that doesn't say what's cool about a drama, just “let's protect the actors from haters.” I'm afraid that someone here doesn't understand what a review is about and it is an evaluation of a drama: its script and the quality of its execution. A review that involves hating honest and factual criticism, albeit negative, is not a review, it's hate aimed at the critic. Somehow, I don't see that you care about my feelings and whether I'll accidentally get depressed and try to hurt myself through your negative words, because unlike Korean actors, I read the comments on this site. Not only do you have double standards by treating Korean actors like precious flowers and other people like trash, but you can't even find one positive in this drama to recommend it to others.

I love this drama! No other drama puts me to sleep so quickly and so effectively :)

I really sincerely love this drama. When I have too much stress and need to unload my emotions, this drama does it for me in the most positive way. I cry from emotion, I cry from laughter. I can't watch the scenes with Ahn Yuna, but I can't stop laughing.

P.S. I'm watching for the fifth or sixth time and I'm always equally entertained and moved.

Is this version more like the anime, or does it keep the atmosphere of the first season? I'm asking about the plot and the development of the characters and the relationships between them.

I do not urge you to watch, I did not finish this drama. The plot was too annoying for me. In my opinion, however, the actors were great. Ren Min was really excellent in her role, only her character was awful, unbearable for me. So maybe give this drama 4 episodes to try. Maybe what annoyed me won't annoy you. Maybe I'm the one who is oversensitive about certain elements that are as invisible as air to others. It all depends on your mood and how bored you are just now :)

And I'm sure you leave similar comments on posts where someone gave the drama a 10/10 on the first episode :)

8 episodes out of 12, 2/3, is not enough to form an opinion? I have yet to see a drama that could pick up in the last 4 episodes with such massively bad production. Am I supposed to expect a miracle in the form of a screenwriter suddenly learning how to write or a director suddenly learning what directing is all about and actors suddenly deciding to show at least a little skill? Yes, the quality of blocking will certainly improve. Or they will change the composer for the last four episodes. Yes, a miracle may happen....

Does this answer your lack of understanding of why someone evaluates a series without waiting until the closing credits of the last episode? If not, I'm sorry, I can't explain it any better.
