genuinely distraught over ep25. lanxiang and han liang were soo close to getting everything they've ever wanted. above all, han liang was her choice. the emperor, both new and old, took everything from her. i feel so sick. they took her entire family and now they've taken away her ability to choose anything for herself for the rest of her life. ljq is currently my public enemy number one im so sorry.

im pretty sure the numbering is individual for each gender! so your first option is correct. in road to splendor, the family depended on their women. i believe they had more girls than boys, so there should have been 8 girls before her.

ep21 thoughts. im having a hard time enjoying the main romance. with ljq and xlx having met as master servant, i think it's a really weird dynamic and i dont believe ljq truly respects xlx as an equal. with his socialization, i dont even think its possible for him to unlearn his subconscious ways of thinking about his social standing vs others. like im not saying hes a bad person, but as a wealthy male heir in those times, theres no way he respects xlx as an equal sorry!! having just met scholar han, i am so sad that xlx won't end up with him! he seems like the right person who can give xlx the kind of life she desires. he would be able to take care of her for life and treat her with real respect and love. she would have a simple family, a simple life, and good in laws. i really like this show and i adore all the female centric plotlines. i just might have to start skipping the romance scenes. the way ljq is following her to her new house and getting jealous of her closeness with scholar han is downright creepy to me sorry. like i know she used to be your servant but shes not your property anymore! you need to let her go! you were not special!! even the imagery of him comparing xlx to the potted orchid. she is not a plant you can trap in a pot and take care of. she is her own person. a wild grass. you cannot seek to contain her. i just feel like ljq has a not like other girls mindset about xlx. his first wife zxt was also a complicated, smart, and respectable woman. he just didn't respect her enough to treat her well. he had his issues with her family and took it out on her. even dcq. or now zmy. he does not respect women, he's just obsessed with xlx.

no exactly i thought the best of their tension and chemistry was gonna be in the first half of the show. i was gagged when they hit us with that in ep34. sadly it was the last true scene we got to see with the both of them together until the last scene of the last episode 💔💔

omg saying she was forced to love him is crazy!!! she meant to use him to build her standing at first, but it's so clear that she ended up falling for him over time?? and the reason she fell for him is precisely because he is the kind of person you described. wow people really watched this show with their eyes closed. and thank you yes omg i also rewatched the poison/jail scene so many times. i was genuinely crying so much the whole time. it was the fact that since they came back to the capital, they had so few romantic scenes between them and so many conflicts that were pulling them apart. so getting to watch such a powerful declaration of love really moved me.

coming to see how people liked this show and finding a 6.7 rating gagged me omg was it that bad?
