the latest string of law draws have kept me hooked like this one. as long as it’s a good cast, the storyline…
How is Bloody Flower. That one seems even darker than this drama. A ML serial killer right?

we still don’t know about the prime ceo but i do think there is something about him too.i think the professor…
Thanks. Yeah I am not sure how the friend is the same as current day prosecutor. But Ra Yeong's reaction when he delivered the flowers made it seem like she just saw someone rise from the dead. Maybe he got new name and worked his way back somehow into law? And a morbid thought just occurred to me - I wonder if the detective husband is going to die. It seems there is going to be some karma payback somehow from her cheating. Just not sure how it will be played out.

Thanks everyone! I am going to check out TTEOTM. I quite like the actress having seen her in variety shows. She's funny and seems very down-to-earth.

First time watching Bai Lu drama - curious as she's quite popular. Is her character somewhat autistic? Her character seems to be like a Sherlock Holmes type or is the actress just kinda wooden in her expressions? I've seen the ML in other dramas like the Double and I've liked him better there...but for some reason the chemistry is just not landing here. Both leads are not quite hitting the mark in their portrayals and it's coming off a bit stiff. But I am still enjoying the banter - just not able to get emotionally vested even though both leads are very attractive and would seem to match as CP. Can anyone recommend a BaiLu drama where she connect better with her ML?

OK someone set me straight - in e4 the classmate who raped (or tried to rape) Ra Yeong and the trio thought they killed in self-defense is actually alive and the mastermind behind the ConnectIn app? The uncle is a member. Is the Prime CEO also complicit? The professor - what's his role here? Assume the detective husband will find out the truth and we will have to see if their marriage survives. It already seems rather rocky now so wonder if with such shocking revelations that he will stay with her. It is a rather dark drama for sure.

The main issue isn't that she cheated it’s how the writer treats the affair like it’s just a mistake to move…
This is a plot device to throw more curve balls into the case because now she is afraid of her DNA being found at the scene which then leads to them hiding evidence on the phone that may have moved the case in a different direction. But then the witness died so it would not have made a difference. But then...the prosecutor decided to screw with the husband by sending him the 911 recording where he recognized his wife's voice. So now we also wonder what is the trio hiding if they are worried about the wife's DNA being found in the database because it seemed to be more than just being caught cheating. Do you get the plot device now?

the police is so useless and always ready to close the cases but how can they coerce the victim on the scene like…
It is a commentary (albeit fiction) on how the world works - the victim gets re-victimized in the court and by law enforcement which let's be real is pretty much male dominated. Women are usually asked if they invited such attentions because of how they dressed or their professions. So this is a dramatization of what could very well happen IRL.

One of the leads having a fling with her ex is part of the plot device - so folks in the comments should just calm down and get off their moral high horses. As a plot device, its actually quite brilliant because it allows for Hyeun Jin having left her DNA behind and also being afraid of having her husband find out - which leads to their covering it up evidence. And now we as the audience also wonder about what exactly in their past that they are worried about being exposed for and which also prompted them to form the law firm in the first place and to fight so hard for victims. I believe they might have been caught for some incident in the past which caused their DNA to be in the database that they do not want to be made public. I am also super excited that this is a female led drama by 3 seasoned actresses. I also liked that these 3 women are flawed and not perfect but as a team they are a strong force to be reckoned with. It does seem like the villains are super powerful and the odds are overwhelming against them but it does make it so much more interesting. Also the men in the supporting roles are all very good, experiencd actors. A stellar cast. Can't wait for the next episode!

Really enjoying the show. It's like what is going on in the US. Shadow government by a former president, corrupt…
There is nothing shadow about what is happening in the US. The former president who returned is now robbing the country blind with his schemes (million dollar visas, drugs you pay for with cash on his site, sons backdoor dealing with middle east/arabs....you name it) and doing his best to break up all the democratic checks and balances to turn the US into a 3rd party autocratic country. And most people are too dumb to realize that here.

I have a clarifying question that I still can’t quite understand. Why did XWJ kill Zhang Mo? His character though…
As you watch later episodes, you will start to notice that this drama is full of morally grey characters which makes it more interesting and not cookie-cutter. XWJ's actions are part of his morally grey arc. Without giving too much away - you will see this aspect of his character appear again.
On The Vendetta of An Dec 23, 2025
This drama has such an interesting cast of morally grey characters, the good, the neutral, the bad, the powerful, the controlled. Makes it interesting and hard to predict what will happen next.

I think they would rule it as suicide. What kind of shocked me the most is how Do Gi did not have any reaction…
Agreed. It was a bit off putting how cheery he was especially since he instigated her to fall and failed to save her. No matter how bad she was, it's still a human life. That was really off-note. I think S3 they are running out of material so best to stop the series here.

A judge proclaiming himself a king in court, lmao this is what's wrong with the judiciary nowadays. Everyone seems…
Not so far from reality. We have a US President proclaiming himself a king and who considers himself above the law. And all the Supreme Court judges of this country are beholden to him. We have No Kings protests happening here in the US. So you don't need to suspend reality - just read what is happening in the US right now.

Title Love's Ambition Spoiler
He numbed himself after his girlfriend died. And let’s look at his parents and how they treat his son - and…
I am not sure about him grieving his former girlfriend because in ep 20 he told XY that he had already broken up with his girlfriend for 2 months when she showed up out of the blue to tell him she was pregnant. I am sure there was doubt in his mind if the child was his hence the DNA test. TBH I did not get the sense he was that much in love with his GF in college because it feels like he has been going through life thus far shut off from deep emotions for anyone. His relationships, even with his family come across as transactional. Which I guess is the plot setting us for some major character development for him. Look forward to seeing his redemption arc - and I sure hope there is one so there is a HE.

First few minutes did not grip me which was kinda disappointing considering it's WooBin and Suzy. Oh well. I might just go watch other J drama and C drama. BTW if any of you watch C drama Mobius on Netflix is quite well done.

This is such a fun drama and coming to read the comments daily doubles the fun! But I also can't help but feel in many ways this drama is mirroring what Zhao Lusi was going through in real life with her toxic agency controlling her and trying to blackmail/bully her into doing what they want. And how she is brave enough to walk away from it all and take a risk. She must have channeled some of her real-life turmoil and emotions into her acting. You can feel its a very different character than the one she's always played. This one is world weary and still forced to go through the motions and keep up a facade - you can see it in her eyes. As I am empathizing with XY, I am also feeling for ZLS. Art sometimes it truer than life as they say.

I am Chinese American and can speak mandarin - am currently watching Bon Appetit on Netflix. I do like the show but have to admit the Chinese envoy scenes were a bit cringe. Firstly, they could have done better dubbing of the actors who are supposed to be Chinese nationals but obviously Korean actors. I am sure in a country so close to China they have Chinese native speakers. I think it was fine given the context that the envoy was corrupt and obviously abusing his power him getting the comeuppance was ok although I think that a real Chinese official would have been more refined and less coarse so that was out of character and a tad jarring. If you watch enough traditional Chinese dramas, you will know what I mean - the officials who are corrupt are a bit more refined in how they act even as they go about their plotting behind the scenes. I felt the cooks showed respect for each other. The Chinese lady cook being quite devious in the beginning and then doing a complete 180 was obviously as plot device to increase tension so that was a bit of lazy writing on the part of the screenwriter. Nothing else to complain about a very entertaining drama - loved the leads and all supporting actors are great!
