Title Phantom Lawyer Spoiler
Maybe he's angry because it's first time a lawyer has managed to defeat their law firm.
I think he's just suspicious as their cases keep overlapping. I would be too if some random lawyer keeps popping up on my radar, and knows things about my cases no outsider should know about. And given his rather immoral approach to things, guess he is not going to admit to finding the body as then people will question him on how he came to know. So I don't think he was planning to frame ML but just looking out for himself.

Someone else was pondering on the same issue last week.So far the question has not been solved i think XDFirst…
Maybe he burns some ghost paper money LOL for payment. Now that would be a nice plot addition/twist. The ghosts pay him with paper money which he burns and it becomes real money. Although not sure if Korean death rites include burning of paper money and goods like in Chinese burial traditions to send these possessions for dead to use in afterlife.

Title Phantom Lawyer Spoiler
Five episodes in and I give you my likes and dislikes…Likes- The cast is great especially the ML and his family…
Yes that is a plot hole but it's probably intentional because part of the comedy/suspense is in the ML not being able to control when he will be possessed so audience is kept on their toes hoping he doesn't get hurt or hurt someone (as his mother foreshadowed in her script to him in ep 5/6). But I agree a bit lazy on scriptwriter's part. I also keep wondering as I watch how the heck this guy is going to make a living as a lawyer especially as he claims to his mother he will continue to do this as a "calling". Guess it's a comedy so I just have to suspend logic (because the whole plot of ghosts and possession etc is well not logical) and just enjoy the ride. Both leads are great in their role but I would have expected no less of them given it is Esom and Yoon Seok. I also love Kim Mi Kyung - she is the ultimate ajhumma and slays in any role.

Looked like a total psychotic episode. She seems to have lost total touch with reality and now just blames everything that happens to RYC. Actress Mabel Yuan is serving it though - quite the performance.

Oh no, BLL mother...in ep. 24. I hope it is not what I think it is. She doesn't deserve such a daughter who apparently is just rotten to the core and blames everyone for her problems.

Try Light of Dawn, she is really good in it.
Yes finished that as well. Glad she is finding gigs. I know she has had health problems, think it was meds she took for depression that caused her to gain weight and C-drama industry favors toothpick girls so I am glad she has found a niche to shine in. She is a very good actress.

Same here! Funny how I am rewatching The Double and Her Blaze at the same time. I really enjoy both as well. I also started out watching POJ first but after a few episodes, it didn't really capture my attention to make me want to keep watching. The leads are good looking, esp the ML but neither of them have that extra spark to really pull me in. I was thinking of giving that a rest and then maybe give it another try but based on your comments, I probably will pass. The are other K-dramas that are keeping me entertained.

Just started this because the casts are lit. Haven’t watched a Ma Si Chun drama in a very long time and she…
Totally agree. The bad guys are amazing actors as well, esp Ning Li - he is chilling in being so sociopathic. I am afraid of his character and would not want to, as he said, go against someone like him. I am looking forward now to how Yuci gets back at the LiangLiang, Gramma Bai and DongChao. I hope none of her family or friends get hurt though.

I think I know why he said her picture looked like a Southeast Asian - the hair. It's wild and looks like a farmer, not a scholar. So yeah stereotyping here - he probably was not even conscious of it at the time he mentioned it. So it probably wasn't intentional. But it is unfortunate. He should have just owned it and apologized - end of story. Calling it a misunderstanding is kinda lame and disingenuous...and frankly makes it worse because now he is assuming his SEA fans are stupid as well. I am dropping Pursuit of whatever. Neither actors impress me in RL.

So far great drama. The ML (Gao Xiang) is really worming his way into my heart and I imagine into FWZ's heart as well. He's so likable and charismatic. I hope they do end up together even if this drama is not romance focused. I am trying to check out this actor's other dramas. He's better than a lot of idol actors out there TBH.

You obviously didn't watch the latest episodes where she tricked them and got them to return home without a cent. Seems like her nephew and niece are quite honorable. It is a realistic depiction of chinese culture especially of guan-xi and obligations between families. I have had to sit through lectures from random relatives I barely know and be respectful in spite of wanting to tell them to get the f off. So unless you are Chinese, you would not really understand the nuance here.

It’s so disappointing. I was really holding out hope he wasn’t as bad and we just didn’t know the whole…
I agree but I think it's a matter of 1) potentially miscasted actor for the role - I feel he can't decide how to portray the character's motivation - he's like wanting to be this guy who lost his sister, then a guy who wants takes down all the bad guys then he's a psycho dude. 2) the director not giving enough background to this character to make us believe his motivation. They glossed too lightly over his attempts to get justice for his sister which would have led to his creating such a destructive app. Just revenge for a sister he had never grew up with isn't enough motivation to go to such lengths for revenge. Also - the director/script-writer made him into this kind of omnipotent being just because he's a tech dude. I've noticed K and C drama romanticize the tech CEO. Reality is so far from the truth here and I know since I work in Silicon Valley LOL. No hot tech guys - everyone is an average, super stressed employee worried about AI taking over their job.

I know a lot of people hate her short hair style but she had a very cropped look in the Price of Confession and I thought she still looked stunning. In fact, not having the hair in the way, her features really stood out and I realized what a natural beauty she is.

Wow - what a wonderful drama! PSH knocks it out of the park with this one. Forget the other MLs - I want her next ML to be Kim Won Hae - they are hilarious playing off each other. Every time I see him in the script, I have a big smile on my face. The man is a comedic genius. I've rewatched The Judge from Hell and am now rewatching Dr Slump. She does pick really good scripts. And such an amazing presence on screen too. This was overall just the type of feel good drama so much needed especially in a world of wars and things just falling apart (if you live in the US, you know) and AI fear hype taking all our jobs. I kinda wish I was back in the 90s too. Life seemed more innocent then.

This is a very interesting and complex drama where everyone is complicit in something. Outside of the 3 women lawyers and the girl who was a victim, not sure who is trustworthy because everyone except for the detective husband, seems to be Connect-ed. Pun intended.

Wish they'd chosen a hostess who was less skeletal - she doesn't look at all like she enjoys bread. Watching her jutting collarbone and emaciated arms makes me cring - especially as I am watching a bread making contest where food is the main focus here.

Person Kim Won Hae
He is just the best - I adore this actor. He's got such great comedic timing and is an awesome actor able to go from extremely serious to hilarious in a single scene. And underneath all that, you can sense he's just very self deprecating and having the time of his life. In a lot of BTS, I also notice that even the leads in the dramas he's in respect him a lot as a veteran in the field. Every time I see him in the cast, I look forward to the scenes he's in.
