really really wanted to love this but I'm 20 episodes in and was getting bored by ep 14ish. This has everything I should love and yet lacking something. Chemistry? Heart? IDK but I can't believe I may put this on hold.
FL is so so good. I like the idea of her split personalities. The problems for me so far are 2 things. 1. the ML is written ridiculously clueless/stupid. I kind of was hoping for a brilliantly observant profiler "Sherlock" type of ML and instead.... yeah. Also his "gift" is kinda useless as well. 2. The police just letting the FL & ML play undercover cops/detectives on a serial killer case is crazyyy to me.
This girl needs to go off the grid.. and I don't mean to film some weird reality show . I mean as in social media…
I think the whole point is no, she can't. because of the contract she's signed. she can't choose anything right now because they're binding her to a signed contract after they've ruined her health/mental well-being. And no matter how much money she has, she still has the right to act if that's what she loves doing, without fear of being bullied/hurt/damaged from a management company.
"We have no intention of occupying public resources and, to prevent the focus of public opinion from being…
exactly this. basically saying, "we're professionals/adults taking care of this situation, so don't pay any mind to whatever the little girl is having a hissy fit about over there... she's obviously just tired/ranting." This statement SMACKS of belittling the situation while trying to paint themselves as the reasonable party and sweeping away the seriousness of the situation.
one of the beginning lines she says something like "his mistrust/shallow love (her husband's) was the beginning of all my torture/losing the baby, etc" it all started with how fragile her husband's trust in her was. Non-existent, in other words. The rest of the drama didn't live up to what her stating that promised. Then the writers doubled-down on her husband's shallow trust and made him IMMEDIATELY mistrust her again... and yet she literally acts like that wasn't 1000% the foundation for all the horrors she'd been through. MEH.
as soon as Episode 2 was over, this season was no longer worth watching. Last 2 ep were underwhelming, predictable, and annoying all at the same time. LOVED Season 1. Thought Season two was MEH and this season unfortunately didn't live up to any expectations whatsoever. The ending scene was eye-roll-worthy.
FLASHBACK PROBLEM: the problem with this one isn't that there were flashbacks, it's that even though they were trying to show the flashbacks from the ML & FL's perspectives... it didn't bring anything new/extra/fresh perspective-wise to the plot. The flashbacks from his lense were identical to the flashbacks from her lense... so WHY did they shoot it this way? It didn't add any depth of character, depth of plot, depth of anything except depth aggravation. Very frustrating. The premise and acting had SO much promise.
