the last few episodes are WAY worse for this. EP 38-40 I kept "rewinding" to see if I missed something between scenes :(

Really enjoying this but there are a few things that feel *off* that take away from the enjoyment a little so I'm a wee bit bummed. BUT I'll do a review once I finish and let it all soak in hehe

finally getting to sit down & watch EP 3!! I saw a little clip and I'll probably ending up tearing up by the end hehe

I'm a HUGE Persuasion fan (read the book a few times and owned several versions of the movie/series adaptations) but I don't really see the correlation here. The main plot of Persuasion is that the FL breaks up with the ML because of family pressure due to them believing his status below their own and to keep her serving their family in different capacities because of her kind/humble personality. The only similar point here is the "meet after 5/8 years of being apart" and still loving one another. <33

enjoyed this a lot for what it was but also didn't love the ending (like many others on here) but the acting and storyline was beautiful despite the unrealistic end. For me, the perfect ending would have been her ending up w/out the ML or 2ML. One she didn't love and the other she loved but shouldn't end up with either. but ehhh not a horrible ending (I guess?) lol

For me, it's def I can't live without my Chinese Dramas. Mostly because I adore the Chinese Costume dramas over Korean ones. Normally I prefer Korean modern ones though but I agree that Chinese moderns are getting better & better lately.

I have to agree with you. I sooo wanted to be able to rate it higher but despite having some AHmazing actors/actresses and an interesting FL, and beautifully flawed/gray characters... it just felt a dark/depressing. FLAT and dark and depressing. (that's not good haha)
