the last drama I was invested in was the double and now this xD
lterally same for me!! These two are probably the TOP 2 for me this year... my most anticipated was Pearl Girl but idk why it didn't live up to my expectations... The Double and this one are giving me life though
she literally got off on tormenting him. she knew he had nightmares about his childhood, so she wanted the chandelier…
yes exactly. I think she felt that those two encounters she noticed meant that there was still a very slim piece of the ML she hadn't 100% grasped in her hand and wanted to cut that slim piece out and then purposely used FL to test and kill the last piece of the ML's resistance but it backfired on her instead.

her logic is logic-ing because she's crazy as fuck hahaha but yeah & absolutely agree that she didn't anticipate 3 things. 1. FL's tenacity/sense of justice (I think she assumed she wouldn't care/get involved because it was just a contract marriage/FL was messed up too) 2. The FL's ability to give the ML a real and true "safe haven" and #3 the ML's willingness to cling onto the FL and ditch his obsession with the 2FL as soon as he realized he didn't only have ONE option and had to wallow in his misery/trauma... that there would be someone willing to help him out of it instead of pushing him further into it. <33
you guys are missing the reason when it's super obvious. she wanted to control him even more. see spoiler.
she literally got off on tormenting him. she knew he had nightmares about his childhood, so she wanted the chandelier to stay and gave him drugs to make him more unhinged/sleepless/dependent on her. She knew he had been drawn to the FL a few times years before (HS graduation and when he saw her buy the trunk) so she dangled her in front of him as a contract wife to show him kind of what he couldn't have and to solidify her place in his life. (to make 100% sure no one could ever replace her) She liked to control men psychologically, even if that meant making them druggies, etc. If you remember the FL told her she knew because she heard a college student killed himself (or tried to?) because he felt it was the only way to get out of the 2FL's grasp... so she's been fucking around with guys like that since she was a teen. Her plan to divorce him was to literally "take away" what he loved most so he would beg/plead/take pills and hope she came back to him so he could function properly... he'd call her tons of times a day and pretty much stalk her. Then it backfired when he became more interested in FL.
why did she divorce him, if she wanted to control him? He was already deeply in love with her.

Can someone explain the low rating? At the very least, it's a solid 8.
the mystery wasn't very mysterious and the romance wasn't very romantic... it was more about the characters and their trauma and letting go of their baggage (the trunk) so I get why maybe some people didn't enjoy it... it fell short of a full mystery/thriller and short of a classic rainbows/sunshine romance. However, for me, it was brilliant and poignant.
I have so many "favorite moments" in the 1st two episodes but I got to say ((SPOILER))
ALSO... how wonderful is it that the FL is seemingly weak/helpless because of her disability but instead of breaking down after the horrible situations she was in... she literally went home, cleaned herself up, pretended like not a damn thing happened, all the while plotting her crazy ass scheme of pretending to be her own kidnapper to get out of her marriage. ๐๐๐๐ this is called "don't underestimate the silent/quiet ones" LOL

seeing the FL tell the ML off in sign language is one of my FAVS. You KNOW he likely understood everything she was saying (I'm betting he took a sign class just for her) but he just stands there dumbly and says "Did you just curse at me?" or something like that?? EPIC!! hehe
Forgot it was BF until I was looking for some cute tops yesterday and saw the craziest sales๐ฎโ๐จ Everything…
I honestly rarely shop BF sales... really not worth the stress anymore and like you said the stuff is picked over/sold out quickly etc. Lately I just shop sales throughout the year and put stuff back for xmas gifts :-) rather spend my time staying up wayyyy too late to see the next episode right when it airs hahaha
