I really wanted the FL to be smart/strong/independent, but she's more of a tyrant instead. I don't hate the show, but I also am only barely "liking" it. I'm 20 episodes in already. I'll watch to the end because I hate quitting. LOL
Can you please tell if seo ji hye had any romance like second lead couple or something??
Her role is as 2FL and she's 100% in love with and involved with the ML throughout the show. She has no other romantic relationship or even relationship potential. She's an antagonist, btw.
I wished I liked this more. The "relationships" felt forced and didn't feel like anyone had any real legitimate connections with one another. Aside from the one ML and his wife, that is. None of their friendships or relationships or the story or struggles made me care enough about any of them to care about how they ended up. I skipped a ton and the parts that should have been interesting were boring to me, unfortunately.
I really enjoy this drama for the slow-building relationship between the FL & ML. It also shows a realistic portrayal when they interact with each other. The ML isn't perfect and jumps to conclusions about the FL because of the intrigues and traps the women in his life have been involving him in for years. I actually LIKE that they make him like that. It's natural and human and relatable. The ML is wonderful but I like that he has some character flaws. The mother-in-law was the worst character in the drama for me and she honestly couldn't have been that gullible and led about by people with evil intentions. Her character's sole purpose was to create conflict and it was a wee bit noticeable. Also... can I just say how much I LOVE the clothing the women wore in this drama? SO pretty!
I never ever get completely confused, but I am so confused by all the names in the first 5 episodes. Who really IS the ML? WHY is he there? Who exactly is YiYi and why are both guys talking to her? #CONFUSED
I have a lot of issues with this drama and none of them are about the lame "romance". 1. The ML not only doesn't have any character development but he remains a hot-headed, stubborn idiot until the end. 2. The FL is supposed to grow into her mother's shoes, but besides that ONE time, she doesn't fulfill her role or ANY real way in the drama at all. She isn't a good adviser, she doesn't save the day, she doesn't do anything to help anyone, she's just... there. She is literally there to further the chaos and push the "conflict" of the story from 20 episodes to 78. It's not well done. She's nothing special and her character also has zero plot development except to become a serious joke of a character. Honestly, if you literally removed her from episodes 26-78, nothing would happen except the other characters wouldn't have anything to argue over. BAD writing, that. Don't get me started on all the other ridiculous characters, their lame "motivations", and the absolute non-existent plot.
so far the only thing bad about this drama is the camera work. I feel like I'm going to throw up when shows are shot like this with a "shaky camera man's pov" style. UGH.
