really loving this one so far... way different pacing/feel from TD but I love love the leads and the plot thus far!! ^_^ & I love all kinds of shows as long as the story + acting + chemistry between characters is there!
I really wanted to love this (my bday is Groundhog's Day) but by EP 13 I just couldn't keep watching. The romance wasn't enough, the time loop plot had fizzled, and the work-place drama/intrigue wasn't interesting in the least :( sad about it though! Maybe if this was 12-14 episodes? but probably not. lol
Guys, XH did not die. It is a happy ending. In the novel this is based on, it also seemed like he died but didn't.…
exactly... I don't understand why people are saying it's "open ended"? we literally see him wearing the necklace riding toward her waiting at the tree in the distance??
sorry not sorry but don't think anything can top this in 2024!! BUT holding out hope that The Story of Pearl Girl will WOW me like this drama did, because... I πZhao Lu Si majorly!!
when FL is walking away from SYR and he jumps and you can see him falling behind her, she hears him hit the ground,…
There are only a few scenes like this I remember off the top of my head... one is in "The Story of Minglan" and the other is a scene in "Princess Agents" - both gave me the same feeling/similar to this scene!
EP 40 has one of the greatest scenes ever for a FL/revenge drama! (spoiler below)
when FL is walking away from SYR and he jumps and you can see him falling behind her, she hears him hit the ground, pauses for a second, and then keeps walking away without even looking back... SYR was selfish even in his death... holding out a last hope she'd at least turn back to look at him... but the FL didn't even give him that satisfaction! BRILLIANT scene!!
SYR my man.... has himself utterly convinced that everything has turned out the way it has simply because he was born poor (and thus forced to make bad choices) and others (Duke) weren't. fucking kidding me??? His chat with himself while watching the spider just hammers in the fact that he literally still doesn't see HIMSELF as the problem. He's removed himself from the entire scenario like he's watching things from an outside perspective instead of being an active participant. CRAZY TOWN!
Shen Yurong's souless eyes sometimes give me chills esp since the past few eps
exactly. you can see it in his eyes that he's realizing XH is giving everything he couldn't/wouldn't to JL. He's measuring himself up and realized how severely lacking he is and how much love JL is already giving to XH. He also has himself convinced that the only reason they are in the state they are is because he started with nothing and XH didn't. He's delusional and hella more dangerous now!
actually he is not her cousin because she is not Jiang Li begin with and he knows that
I feel like based on the way he watched her interactions with other... he had known for a while who she really was. In 33 when she tells him and he's not surprised in the least and he says "I know" it shows it wasn't news to him/no shock or hesitation at all because he already knew for a while. (at least that's what I think)
