I really like Bo Song a lot. I do like the first male lead and see the chemistry with both, but that actor that plays Bo Song just kind of steals my heart constantly.
requested it first time doing so ...hope they pick it up drama fever needs more jdrama and cdrama
It's subbed a bit on YT if you want to watch a few epis. Just search the title. I hope it continues to be, but who knows. Sometimes, ppl do a few and then stop.
It was always 12 episodes. The Korean networks are starting to make dramas with only 8-12 episodes, just like…
I don't know if I agree with you saying they've shortening dramas to 8-12 episodes. That's usually for web dramas not network dramas. It is possible it was listed wrong, but I don't know if you should keep saying they're shortening the episodes on dramas when none coming out are shorter in length.
Perhaps just say from now on there was a possible mix-up because what you're saying sounds too definitive and makes it look like an excuse JMHO. This is just a friendly suggestion since you seem to be so passionate about the subject. One thing is for sure is that Nara was flawless in this drama.
He's your servant. Next scene he's kneeling before the servant. LMFAO JH is brilliant in this. It gives me chills to see that smirk of a smile peeking beneath the straight face he portrays as he keeps putting together his revenge plot piece by piece. Ah, but there's a snag in this plot with the lead female which unveils his sensitive side by accident (shades of Gun here FTLY folks).
Let me know about Woon Joon character progress, he is the only one I care so far. Wook and Bo Ah's characters…
I think you would be pleasantly surprised with some progress of each this past week. I think this drama is trying to show that everyone has their good and bad qualities where we fall into a more gray area versus just black and white
Won Joon still is being the sweetheart he is trying to mend his broken heart, but I do feel sorry for Soo Jung as it has to be hard not seeing that passion he has for HA mad or otherwise for herself just yet.
You would LOVE the Kyung/Director Kim progression. They are so fun to watch with their obvious affection for one another.
Part of the issue is we are dealing with a drama with a limited amount of episodes to cover a limited time period…
Can I get in here? lol I wanted to address the love situation. There's different kinds of love in this world, and these two were looking for whatever love they are feeling. You see the author cut us off by not allowing us to see maybe cute scenes of them behind their computer smiling from the the message board interactions. I do wish that had been explored because they have known each other a while outside of just the real world interactions.
I also feel lately their love has taken on a maternal look at times which I don't know it's kind of strange. I don't know why they are doing that, but I truly see the age difference with that, and if the writer wants us to see it, well, it's kind of shining in our face with a big hey she's like a mother to him light.
Then, that brings back to his relationship with Jung Woo being like a replacement father figure as I've said earlier, so perhaps she is somewhat of a mother figure as well at times. They say men look for that at times, and since he's probably craved that kind of affection, it made him fall deeper for her. HS gives us that vibe since he has returned from Paris IMHO.
Part of the issue is we are dealing with a drama with a limited amount of episodes to cover a limited time period…
I wish they had made it longer TBH. I generally say that's enough when they are longer than so many episodes, but I fear they're going to start rushing things now because we're down to ten episodes. I hope not. So far I've loved the pacing, but these added conflicts arising make me wonder.
I also think JW did a lot of that for JS as well. He wanted him to not be burdened by his mother, so he did what he could to keep the peace. I didn't find it calculating move just like I felt this was out of the kindness of his heart with HS' mom.
I think again the problem with HS' mother that we see so little of how much JW was there for HS that we tend to get on the defense about her attitude. I think part of her reasoning is just that, and she's also dealing with the aneurysm, so maybe she's scared her daughter won't end up with the right man. The whole ageism thing truly turns me off no matter what. I mean why go there, but I think it was to showed HS' mom is also flawed like JS' mom.
Yeah, Won Joon still has his heart with her, but maybe we'll see more in the coming episodes. I think they did a better build up with Kim/Kyung in that respect. Their little looks they exchange are just beyond adorable.
I still love the drama. I look forward to it every week and feel sad when it ends especially without the darn previews, and maybe that's more due to Wook and Se Jong. I am truly riveted by their acting. TBH, the female lead is okay, but I don't think the writing is for her as much as the guys although her breakdown was interesting when he kept pushing and pushing her.
I think the emotion explored week after week is what I enjoy the most. It's not romantic as much at the moment as it's exploring how these people go through everything, but we do have a cuties Kyung/Director Kim starting up as well as Won Joon/Soo Jung. It kind of is that little break from the heaviness.
And for the first time (drum roll please), I am enjoying Hong Ah to an extent. She's almost become a parody of herself which allows us to see the humor in the character (her SM activities for example), and even she is being more open to her faults (not changing them sadly).
I love Hong Ah with that jerk director oddly enough. Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the chem in those scenes? lol I loved Jung Woo being the mediator with those two being egomaniacs. Again, he was smiling, enjoying his surroundings versus focused on that one-sided love.
Honestly, I was so very happy to Jung Woo interact with others this past episode. He seemed more lively being around them, and he was smiling and laughing. As much as I can't stand JS' mom, I have to thank her for making him think about his relationship even more with JS. He was smiling thinking about being friends IMHO again and lifelong friends spending time with their mothers together. Gosh, Wook just lit up the screen with his vibrant nature in some of those scenes this week.
I got a little choked up in that moment and when JW thought about his mother. I truly miss those boys talking and able to just be with each other. Poor guy might be mistaking his missing of his own mother for that love for HS. Maybe she reminds him of his mother sweet, doesn't make too much of a fuss and open. I still want to see childhood memories with his father though. I feel we're missing something there no matter what he says about him.
Every week I swear the writer and I connect. I just feel something is gonna happen, and it does almost every time. This week it was JS saying the reason he became a chef was connected to a positive childhood memory. If had the time last weekend, those were my thoughts on here. We saw his mom cooking in the beginning of the drama, and you could see there was a warmth exchanged in that moment when he was eating her food (even though he was critical of it). lol He took the one positive out of his childhood with a parent and made himself a career out of it which allows him to visit those moments when he cooks, and I think it also makes him think of when he first fell for HS as well.
I started watching JS and thinking he's a true perfectionist. Look at how he is meticulous even down to how he makes sure his apron string is tied perfectly. The problem is when anything is off in that perfect world, he can't handle it. Jung Woo gives real suggestions to help the business because it's in financial trouble, and Jung Sun won't have it. He won't even think of it. He goes to an extreme level and goes after that land his father said don't touch, and I think regardless of how things went down, he wasn't going to budge on his feelings towards changing his menu or the restaurant. That kind of stubborn nature is dangerous especially from a fiscal sense.
This week it was about HS pushing about getting him to open up about his life. He became so sensitive about hiding this past from her. His reaction to her knowing about his childhood was almost pure panic. Will she judge me? She sees me as this person who is perfect in her eyes, and if she sees the truth, I'll lose her.
I really think he's scared right now, and he's pulling away (called that by the way). I worry he'll do something drastic from all of this emotion coming out where he isn't able to stop it. The focusing on the stoplight made me nervous for some reason. I'd like to see the guys come together where JW reaches out when he sees JS having a weak moment thinking he's alone, but there is JW watching him unable to stay away.
Honestly, HS got on my nerves about going to his mother. I think she senses he's at a breaking point (sobbing on the phone with her, acting out of character), and he's not willing to open up enough to her, so she went to the mother out of true concern. It was a huge mistake on her part to push that far, but I can sort of see her reasoning when I look at it from that perspective. The problem is she doesn't know how calculating this woman can be.
And then, we have the situation with Hyun Soo's mother. Jung Sun finally takes the plunge and tells his father he has a girlfriend to help HS, but the fact that he never introduced her and made it seem as if it was a fling, well, his father wasn't going to help him. I can't stand his dad anyways, but it was as if everything connected with JS keeping his family at a distance. He didn't tell HS his dad is in the medical field, his dad looked at his relationship as meaningless, and he couldn't help her.
If we remember, it was Hong Ah (see what I mean about not changing) who told him about the situation with the surgery. At this point, he was contemplating everything with HS, but he still stepped in because it was something he could do. JS failed by being closed off, and JW stepped in and was open and ready to take charge.
And here's my POV on the whole Jung Woo helping his family. I truly believe Jung Woo has a weakness for people in need, but his deep emotional yearning for his mother makes mothers his ultimate weakness. When you find out he's been giving JS' mom money since Paris, it shows he can't resist her. The second he finds out HS' mom needs help, he steps in and not necessarily for her (he gave her the cold shoulder in the hallway) but because maybe he couldn't save his own mother.
And as for Hyun Soo, as great as it is seeing parents who love each other so deeply, she looked at that relationship and wants one just like it. She has these wild expectations of love as we heard her mom say she pushed other men away without thinking twice. Now she has JS at her side, and she wants to be like her parents open, willing to share anything, each other's best friends. She forgets he didn't grow up that way, and in that respect, she is selfish, but then, again, it is a product of her upbringing IMHO.
Each partner has their own difficulties. She had parents that were so into each other it sounds as though maybe she felt a little bit removed from them, and he had parents that hated each other to the point that he felt alone. In that way, they do connect, and that's why when they are at their height of their relationship, you feel the love pouring out of them easily. I think they truly seem in love on screen, and those scenes are very beautifully acted which shows they were waiting to love someone this deeply.
I was thinking maybe it would be interesting to see Hong Ah and Jung Woo get drunk together. lol Maybe she finally gets the casting she wants, and she convinces him to go for drinks. He is very amused by her craziness that I wonder if it wouldn't lead to something fun to explore even in the last few episodes.
Wow, I can't believe this. This was one of the dramas I wanted English subs for the most and I can finally cross…
Oh, yes, the chemistry between the leads is amazing, and the way he looks at her made me catch my breath. It was beautiful.
They make the cutest couple. The friends on the swim team are adorable, and they seem like a family. There is one part I didn't like that kind of dragged (Little One), but outside of that, it was really good.
Same! lol Yep. :) I wanna see him in something else. He really impressed me from what I've seen so far in With You.
Wow, I can't believe this. This was one of the dramas I wanted English subs for the most and I can finally cross…
I saw her in Mermaid, and I love her, so after that I was eager to see her in something else. I've even seen the unsubbed version of this and loved it, so I'm glad I'll be able to understand a lot better now.
Ha, ha, I just told someone I hope Vicki picks up A Love So Beautiful. I wonder if DF is going to pick up Nirvana in Fire 2 now since the male lead from With You is in it. Sometimes they'll pick up one, and they get another along with it.

I already requested it on my end. It worked With You, so we have to make sure our voice is heard.

Huckleberry looks good too. :)
