I liked the movie for the most part, the idea behind it was interesting and the actors did an amazing job. But there were a few scenes in which my brain went elsewhere I don't know why... For exemple I didn't understand why at the beginning of the movie Yeong Sook (the "bad girl") wanted to call the owner of the shop. It seemed she wanted her to help her but then why in the middle of the movie (I think) we see the shop owner half burned how did this happen ? Did she try to kill her too ? And how could she have called her own house in the end ? Because it means she called her own phone number and not the shop's phone several times... Also for me the end didn't make sense... Why did the grown up Yeong Sook disappear when she was just about to kill Seo Yeon if she wasn't killed in the past ?? I can believe her mom at the end is just an illusion/dream but then does it mean she was locked in the house since her younger self was kidnapped ? Why would she keep her alive for so long ? Idk I'm lost...

Omg I always thought the "2nd ML" in run on and him were the same actor, I'm shocked lol but of course I like him as much as before haha

Ok I forgot about the opening of ep1 which was pretty dark too... So I guess the writers did warn us beforehand about how things might turn out but I can't accept it lol

Well I guess it can also happen in real life but I don't even want to watch the rest now knowing how it will end... I kinda understood that his death was more or less pointless so if that's really the case it's even more cruel...

So... I just finished ep9 and I just wanted to check the comments here because I wasn't really sure about who the second couple was like Kim Tak has a crush on Ari etc but he's shown in the intro with Hanna so I was kinda confused and then... The worst happened and I learned one of my fav characters will die at the end and now I'm so sad T_T How am I supposed to continue watching this now :'(((( I don't understand the writers when they begin a show with "light and fluffy vibes" to end it with tragedy...

YES I totally get what you mean. The story would have been better if they explained how she became captain instead and like you said show us more of Hae Geum because she only had like 10min of screen time (?) Maybe it's not really fair to compare the two movies but I also had Pirates of the caribbean in mind when I started watching this and the humor/chemistry/pacing felt so off here that it was just a huge disappointment... And there were some scenes in which there was absolutely no background music and it felt so weird ? Like something was missing and if we add the characters that felt more like caricatures than actual characters with complex feelings and backstories it's such a huge waste of good actors :/

I agree with you! I had a hard time finding anything in this movie funny... And I wish they focused more on the girls because the men didn't add anything interesting for me unfortunately maybe that's why I completely lost interest in the 2nd part of the movie I just couldn't connect with any of the characters in the end :/ the same goes for the romance like I'm a sucker for a good romance but here it wasn't necessary and wasn't even well developed

I really hope the estimated duration doesn't include the intro and credits because then we'll have 20min of content for each ep... if not... why make a mini series of 4 episodes and not a movie ? Because I don't think cutting this drama into pieces will bring more viewers so I don't see the point

To be honest I watched it and I still don't understand what the genre is so I kinda get the divergence of opinion between the 2 top reviews ^^' It's like a romantic comedy with a sci-fi vibe which translates into a satire of our modern world (?) The romance is definitely present so I can't really agree with the first top review because I really liked the relationship of the main leads, at least for me it was a pleasure to see how it would develop , but it also talks about things we don't often see in a typical romcom... So I guess the best way to find out is to try it haha

I have a question: Is "going public" better tolerated than dating in secret in Korea? Because I don't really see the difference for the fans... I guess there's more honesty with the former but in the case of this drama, I don't see how revealing the relationship between Maha and Ryok to the public would be beneficial to them (considering how their fans reacted with the jacket incident) At the end, I think it's accepted because they are shown freely dating in public space but it doesn't seem very realistic...

I had the same thought as you at the end. If I remember correctly there was a scene with his father during the final ep in which he seems to not care anymore about what his father thinks of him and it was a big reason for his sleepwalking so maybe he didn't need anymore help because he finally freed himself from his father's scrutiny and disdain... But like you said he started sleepwalking again when the truth about her was revealed and she left the house for a few days so logically it should continue when she left for the US... I guess we'll never know ^^'
