One could still hope... Because I'm kinda disappointed with her character development. I think the writer(s?) made it too easy to make her go fully mad and kill everybody in the process only because one monk influenced her...
Also I didn't expect the Queen Dowager to go mad to that extent... I just don't understand why she thought it would be a great idea to kill everybody against her ? Especially if she doesn't even have the proof that the king is truly dead. I know she trusts the monk but here it seems a little too much. I thought she would be more rational and wise (?) than this.
What did that rookie actor die of? They always talked about him but I must have missed the part where they revealed…
I think nobody really knows why he commited suicide, he didn't left a letter to explain his choice. But we can guess: maybe because of his family or his acting career (I think he had a scandal too?) or for some other reason we don't know about... A mix of these things maybe
he wants to take Daebi mama and break the alliance he had with Councillor Park, King wants the whole power of…
I also think they will become enemies once again, the left state councilor was so certain that the king was juste a pawn in his game and now that he's been proven wrong I feel like it will end badly for everyone, especially because the king dared to use the only person that could affect him... And I agree with you, the king could have talked to her about his plan, but maybe she had a feeling he was preparing something when she saw the chess board... I wonder how it will turn out now that she announced her pregnancy

Yes I agree with you, what I wanted to say is that I think his plan with the monk could only work with Lady Park, if she hadn't come to the palace, the monk wouldn't have much purpose in the end... Because the king could only use him to break the alliance between the Left State Councilor and the queen Dowager: she was "abandoned" by the Left State Councilor because he wanted to follow Lady Park so that's why the Queen Dowager went on a solo mission to obtain power and could be influenced by the monk...
Hum... So the monk is Siwol but I'm completely lost with this revelation lol I know they already talked about him before but I can't remember what they said about his importance in their plan/scheme. Also, it seems like the king planned this years ago with the help of the eunuch, but would this plan still work if Lady Park didn't become queen and formed an "alliance" with the left state councilor ? Because I strongly feel that the Queen dowager went kinda "mad" mainly because the left state councilor wanted to support Lady Park instead of her... So if she never came to the palace in the first place, then the king would have married Lady Cho (maybe?) and this whole scheme would have been for nothing in the end...?
Okay so after episode 8, let's talk about 3 main characters.🤡 Lee Tae, The King.Ma poor dude. He thinks he…
You perfectly put into words what I had in my mind since the last 2 episodes ! And I'm glad I'm not the only who isn't buying the king and Lady Park's love story. I get their romance is meant to be painful and tragic blabla but they don't seem to share anything ? Like the only things we know about them together (before Lady Park went to the palace) is that she's very grateful toward him because he saved her in the past and he likes her because he had a "love at first sight" kind of moment ? And this criticism comes from someone who absolutely loves romance ! I would even have liked it more if the king stayed true to his words at the end of EP8 and did what he had to do with Lady Cho... He already manipulated her so why not go all the way ? I also loved Lee Joon in Bulgasal, but here he doesn't convince me at all and that's a shame. Like you said, we wonder what he did all those years to only gain 1 supporter ? I guess it's meant to show the overwhelming power of the Left State Councilor but let's hope that his character grows a backbone in upcoming episodes because for now, he's totally overshadowed by Lady Park and she's very new to the palace's mind games. I really hope she has a fairly good ending (as much as the genre would allow) because she's so interesting now that she had the courage to handle things on her own !
JunYoung must be #1 hate character here for me I totally understand she has gone through hell But the way she…
Let's hope that you're right and they will reveal more about those 3 years spent in solitude, because she doesn't seem to have much depth to her character, it feels like only her resentment toward Taeyang is in the spotlight and that's a shame. She had the potential to be a very interesting character. I really hope the writers have another card in their hands, because so much suffering is tiring, when it's like the only thing you see in the past 4/6 episodes...

I understand, it's nearly impossible now to empathise with Junyoung... I'm disappointed because I thought she was still "logical" before, like even if she couldn't forgive Taeyang, she didn't went out of her way to diabolise her (she didn't want to see her anymore, that's it) but demanding now that Taeyang and Taejoon break up is too much. And her behavior towards JungHwan isn't appropriate, I thought she would feel sorry for him in the end but she seems to resent him, I don't even understand why.
Honestly PTJ deserves everything better, better parents, better sibling, better teammates and even better GF.…
I agree 100% ! Also where is the friendship in this drama ? Like if even his own family is against him, why the writers didn't add a meaningful friendship to lighten up the mood a little ? The other team members are just here to take up space and Junghwan isn't what I can call a friend, at least for now... The poor boy is gonna be depressed if things don't get better soon, it's sad.
I really hoped the writers wouldn't make Junyoung a full "villain" but with how they handled her character in the last 2 episodes this is a total lost cause... I wanted a nuanced show, where everyone has faults but tries to do better and here Taeyang is so vilified by everyone that it's hardly believable anymore. The only plot of this drama now is Taeyang VS Junyoung and absolutely everyone gets dragged in it ! It's tiring, like another comment already said, it's not like Taeyang smashed Junyoung's leg deliberately... And I was one of the few people who defended Junyoung before ! Now I'm just like "what other problem the writers will bring along to make Taeyang even more miserable?" Of course I kinda understand what the writers want to say : sometimes a relationship comes at the wrong time, and it's only natural to take the time to get things done in order to enter a relationship with a healthy mental state. But the drama should still be entertaining regardless of its topic. Here even Taeyang's friendship with the other team members feels fake. It's always Taejoon who looks out for her. I guess the coach tries to help her too but it's not very convincing... I'm really confused about this drama.
we're gonna figure out why he left Lady Cho and went to Lady Park in the next ep. Maybe it's on a full moon day…
Maybe haha but I thought it was already decided that he will go to Lady Cho from now on despite the fact that he is truly in love with Lady Park... I guess he changed his plan at the last moment because he couldn't bear to actually "betray" the woman he loves, we'll see...
