Okay, uh, genuine question y'all, would you recommend someone to watch this to burn time while waiting for their main series obsession to fully release?
Can anyone tell me how long their break-up lasted in the novel? I'm anxiously expecting the shoe to drop any episode…
I read somewhere that it won't last more than two episodes. Take this with a grain of salt. In any case, should they prolong the agony, my heart shall gravitate back to the first episodes to recuperate. I will overdose on the giddies and fluffy moments to battle the angst.
Just to translate the joke names of certain characters:Chicheng: 池骋 is a homonym for 驰骋 or gallop, because…
I was hoping to read about Cheng Yu. Anyway, this is lovely information. Dabao does sound like big baby haha! Erbao being 2nd baby is giving, "middle child syndrome" but I adore that beautiful snake. Yueyue fits so well. I always gag when she tries too hard to catch Chicheng's attention. Thank you for this!
Revenged Love is now at 8.8 and is penetrating the Top 200! Let's keep those positive ratings going. This series deserves all the love for how it's giving us life. July is starting well!
Stoooooop. Every time Yue Yue's song started to happen and repeat 💀😂 The ending felt abrupt this time around,…
I think Shuai is trying not to fall for Cheng Yu since he might still be doubting his intentions. It could also be a conflict of interest knowing Shuai and Wei are besties at this point, while Cheng Yu and Chi Cheng have a complicated brolationship.
Episode 7 did NOT disappoint! I was snapping my fingers, snickering, and giggling all the way! So many great moments on this one. I definitely prepared too early, thinking the angst would creep into this episode. But all I got was fun, bubbly happenstance AND more of a booksmart, streetsmart Suo Wei who's slowly realizing he is falling for Chi Cheng!!! I am not complaining. This is great build-up happening right here, right now. I absolutely LOVE:
1. Suo Wei's genuine concern for Chi Cheng's snakes. Yup. That is wife material right there. Speaking of wife material...
2. Yue Yue's seduction schemes are FAILING MISERABLY, while it only takes for Suo Wei to BREATHE to make Chi Cheng go crazy. It's hilarious!
3. The box of 30,000-yuan worth of cigarettes. Wait, no... I do not love this. The act and thought behind it make me giddy, but as an asthmatic, I am scared for their lungs. Could this be a sponsorship? It would make sense since they have to grab every opportunity to fund their production. If so, product placement is at peak!
4. The teacher's sacrifice. Poor Shuai... or not? He did get a much-needed massage. But did he also have to do it for Cheng Yu? Well, of course! That sudden light change and the orchestra cracked me up. I was on the floor hollering! Slowly but surely, Cheng Yu is working his charm on Shuai. I am excited for their next food date!!!
5. Suo Wei falling for Chi Cheng highlight: WEI IS JEALOUS. HE RECOGNIZES CHI CHENG'S FOOTSTEPS AND HIS MOOD IMMEDIATELY BRIGHTENS UP. HE KNOWS CHI CHENG'S CLOTHING BRAND. HE CARES FOR CHI CHENG'S SNAKES. HE CRIED WHEN CHI CHENG LEFT FOR A BUSINESS TRIP WITH YUE YUE. DID I ALREADY MENTION WEI IS JEALOUS?! HE IS. OMG. THIS PROGRESS. I LOVE IT. Shuai is me when he kept trying to point out how much Suo Wei's plan has changed. Love rival shift? Yes, indeed!
6. That belt... as a gift? Oh, boy. I sense the BDSM scenes from MILES AWAY. But then... no kiss??? NOT EVEN A PECK ON THE CHEEK??? THIS IS NOT REAL. I genuinely cannot believe we did not see a single kiss in this episode. A few chances were lost. THEY ARE EDGING US. I said what I said. I'm not even mad. Just a teenie weenie bit disappointed.
7. THE MASTERMIND THAT IS SUO WEI: This man has evolved from being a heartbroken, ill-fated boy to a strategic businessman who knows how to play his cards well. The fact that Suo Wei seems to be doing a LOT more when it came to finding Chi Cheng's snakes has me questioning the latter's connections and willpower. Could it be that Chi Cheng is just too preoccupied with his blazing love for Sue Wei? Or we just aren't seeing his side of the mission yet? One more thing: SUO WEI TEXTING HATE MESSAGES TO YUE YUE AND CHENG'S MOM CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD. You mean to tell me this baddie knows exactly what to do and say to get things going his way? YAAZZZ. WERK!!!
Episode 7 dropping in less than 24 hours! I wanna read what y'all are loving about this series so far while we wait. Be sure to mark it as a spoiler if it contains any, as a courtesy for those who have yet to catch up with us haha!
He's finally here!! Much thanks to the one who submitted his profile way before I did. Kwak Geon Hee really has great potential. I hope we'll see him in more projects, maybe as the main character. Also, we have yet to find out about his birthday. He's kept it so off the radar for some reason. How will we ever celebrate this fine actor's day?
I watched and SAVOURED all 6 minutes and 14 seconds. IYKYK. I was dumbfounded midway. Like, IS IT EVER GONNA END??? But then, when it was done, I said, "Oh, already?!"
Here you go! https://wuxia.click/novel/counter-attack
Nope, I have not read the novel. I also planned to, BUT the author encouraged otherwise. She said she want us to only enjoy the adaptation. If you still want to read, she has put up a warning that the novel and live-action have distinct differences. The author further emphasized that she was too young when she wrote Counterattack. Supervising the creation of this adaptation is her way of revitalizing her work.
