Revenged Love is STILL A GAME. Not entirely surprised, but with how episode 10 ended, I think we're in for a longer play of hard-to-get. It really feels like the episodes are running shorter because of how the pace is keeping up. We resolved two main issues within this week's episodes; Chi Cheng's snakes and Suo Wei's revenge against Yue Yue. Both were satisfying, but I especially like seeing Yue Yue slapped with the cold hard truth that she will never live a luxurious life--not on Da Bao's watch. I am quite amused with how Suo Wei is dealing with being "bent". A more thorough analysis on a separate comment/thread soon. Anyway, just here to update the scoreboard for both episodes;

Quarterly Tally coming up next week! By then, we'll be HALFWAY through Revenged Love. Oh, gosh, that made me feel bittersweet. I fear Chi Cheng's ex arc is approaching. But I'm gonna savor these beautiful pair of episodes while waiting. Chai Jidan was definitely not joking when she said Episode 9 is when it gets BETTER. She is serving us so well. Let her cook!!!

I JUST WATCHED EP 9 AND NOW PROCEEDING TO EP 10 BECUASE WHY NOT?!! AGH EP 9 WAS TOO PERFECT. I AM SURE EP 10 WOULD BE 10/10 TOO!!

TL;DR

Mondays and Tuesdays can be both mentally and physically draining. Airing Revenged Love during these tiring days provides its audience with a refreshing watch during downtime. The serotonin boost this show gives can help with getting through the week--Wednesday to Sunday when we can keep rewatching and savouring every detail. We keep coming back for more because a lot of us crave the happy hormones Revenged Love serves us.

12 hours left!!! Let's burn a bit of time by analyzing why Revenged Love's airing schedule is peak mind captivating strategy:

Mondays. A vast majority of us hates this day. It's the official start of the week for most people, whether they're a student, employee, business owner, or just about anyone who has set things to accomplish before the weekend. I honestly DREAD Mondays. As a college student, this day almost always drained me because of the fully-packed schedule of lectures. I find myself mentally exhausted by the end of classes. Mondays never fail to make me yearn for the weekends that just flew right by.

Tuesdays, for me, are just a bit less of a pain compared to Mondays. It's when I usually lock in after realizing that the week indeed already started and I have lots to do. Tuesdays tend to slap me in the face with "You got past Monday, bish. You'll do just fine today. By tomorrow, already HALF the week is done. Be patient. Keep going." Would I still be exhausted when night comes? Of course. Tuesdays are commonly just one class less of a busy a Monday, at least that's my case.

Alas. Revenged Love came and knocked on my door. I consider it a pleasantly unexpected guest. When I let Revenged Love into my life, Mondays and Tuesdays never looked the same. I constantly find myself yearning for Monday, thinking the weekends felt too long or slow. Classes no longer bore me as I condition myself with "BISH! Lecture now, Revenged Love later. Participate and do well so you can watch Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei GUILT-FREE!" It works like a charm. I noticed how active I've gotten, and I feel more accomplished every time I ace a quiz. Indeed, Tuesday got even better too. Watching Revenged Love has changed me, for good.

HELPPPP TS IS TOO ACCURATE!!! Jang Jae Yeong and Lettuce (Choo Sang Woo) are indeed my parents ever since I watched Semantic Error. Unfortunately for me, I have had to fend for myself for three years and counting. I am starved. Every year I am met with the same disappointment brought by the fact that there will be no SE S2. I am crying. But this gave me a good chuckle. Thank you for making this!

Undeniably true! I find myself so motivated to also pursue my own dreams whenever I think of Zi Yu. His perseverance is finally paying off. Good things indeed come to good people. Great things happen to those who push to become greater.

I know I would have cried watching Zi Yu's Birthday Live on Weibo. Tears already formed just by looking at the pictures people shared on FB. Some photos showed an emotional Zi Yu who, I can only imagine, is overwhelmed by the support he's receiving. All I can think of is, baby, you deserve this AND so much more! With all the hardships you went through, good karma has finally come around to bring you gifts. It's truly gratifying to see a genuinely great person's life get better. I know his mother is so proud of him. I know I, and a lot of his fans are. We are going to support this budding actor in many ways, no matter how small. Zi Yu's popularity will only soar higher!

Another great, long but easy read from Liltsu! May I start by saying that I appreciate you for basically speaking on behalf of a majority of Revenged Love's fans? I agree with a lot of points, and I feel the need to emphasize this: Not all relationships abide by conventional principles the way we see fit. That's the beauty of Chi Cheng and Suo Wei's dynamic. They refuse to fit in any standard because they, themselves, are subconsciously creating their own set of criteria that only they can exhibit exactly. Their unique personalities allow for an equally extraordinary relationship to bloom; their ability to compromise to persevere; and a strong mutual understanding to endure. Remember when Suo Wei said Xiao Shuai was being treated better by Cheng Yu, comparing how Chi Cheng treats his snakes as family? Suo Wei wasn't exactly envious, saying this out of spite. He understands quite well why Chi Cheng prioritizes his snakes. But WSW has yet to realize that CC's priorities are shifting. We can see this when CC was on a call with WSW, refusing to entertain Gang Zi (CC's assistant) who was trying to report bad news about their operation. It could be that the separation is slowly weakening Chi Cheng's attachment with his snakes, BUT more likely, he is growing to love Suo Wei more.

Yes!!! I just realized why a few of the BLs I've watched gave me an ick, or overall didn't have great chemistry between the leads. The imbalanced relationship dynamic frustrates me. When a story pushes or forces a character into a small box, which allows their partner to carry them is just eurgh. There are times when I'd find it cute, seeing a "bottom" look so small (physically, emotionally, and even mentally) compared to their "top", but it can get unsettling fast. I thrive seeing a power couple who can hold themselves, grounded in their principles, and are generally distinct enough to shine on their own. Thus far, Revenged Love is showing us that despite Chi Cheng is a lot more powerful and influential (because of his wealth and personality), Suo Wei's impeccable wit and irresistible presence equalizes them. A POWER COUPLE INDEED!!!

ALSO OMG. 8.9/10?!! #129??!!! WE ARE SOOOO GETTING THIS UP TO 9 AND INTO TOP 100 BY NEXT WEEK!!!

Missing Suo Wei and Chi Cheng a lot more than usual today. I've been keeping busy, so I wouldn't notice how long it takes before the next episode is released. BUT THIS SERIES HAS ME ON A SERIOUSLY TIGHT CHOKEHOLD. Monday should be here sooner.
