episodes 9-12 is abit slower than needed. it doesnt seem to move the plot much and there isnt much elaborated fight scenes.
I feel that this series always needed to change locations and cover so many characters, from FL, FL dad, ML, yin zhuang and yin xiao, wu yuan, villians that its distracting and taking away alot from the story telling aspect.
etc FL needs to light up some sort of monument to prove that she is a goddess, after 4 episodes it aint lighted yet nor does she have a clue how to and around the bush it goes .....
just know that this FL is a door knob, when early episodes she falls in love with another guy but guy got to go overseas, then she admits she likes another guy just to get ML to confess that he likes her and goes on dates with that guy too.
this series is hard to watch and makes you wish that you could help FL grow a brain and the ML will remove his turtle neck shirt.
2nd couple is seemingly FL's best friend, so its like watching dumb and dumber.

I thought so too, but in some china character descriptions, she ends up marrying Yin Xiao. If that is the case, then it looks like tragic love with Yuan Yi.

High Overview until episode 8 from day of series launch
Episode 1 set for FL's house and her exam looks great and fitting for the story. Dialogs are average but because its such a visual experience, I find myself watching more than hearing :) Best hook from episode 1, FL turns into some alien looking being. OST is also catchy and clean.
Episode 2 highlights how well done the wings are for the guardian and the villain. this is also the episode where FL and ML first interaction happened. Chemistry looks decent.
Episode 3 starts with FL and ML flirting dialog, initiated by FL. ML tries to recruit FL to go back to his "universe"/ country with him. weird looking bad people are coming for FL in this episode too.
Episode 4 series seems to picks up in this episode. skinship here for FL and ML when they held hands and some sort of flirtation happening for FL dad and Wu Yuan, a female assasin. Flying goldfish looking thing here as transportation .... Yin Xiao and Yin Zhuang appears. Good fight choreography.
Episode 5 dad got thrown off flying goldfish, which also got sabotage and crashed. new character appears as a caravan owner. some sort of flirting /infatuation between dad and yin zhuang too. its kinda surprising that the dad gets so many love interests in this series lol
Episode 6 the journey to zhaodu continues but FL abandons her dad. true identity is revealed for the flying goldfish captain. visual highlights here, a group of winged guardians and a lift system
Episode 7 finally get to see glimpse of zhaodu since FL has arrived and thus there are alot of FL and ML scenes. FL needs to prove that she is a goddess.
Episode 8 FL in an impressive set of soldiers' armor. we see pingting (hometown for FL's mom) for the first time
Thoughts and opinions until episode 4 there is a slight annoyance, for any ancient costume series, I had never felt that the ML looks to be wearing a skirt until this series when Yuan yi was in his costume set.
until episode 6 the tempo is a little slower than expected, its not a slow burn, its just mid speed series, maybe because there are too many additional scenes that adds nothing to move the story forward.
Wu yuan (female assassin) and Huo Tu Xin (FL dad) chemistry is interesting to watch. For some reason wu yuan keeps saving him again and again. FL dad character is quite the set up, he is like always the damsel in distress, he isnt silly or dumb, he is just a frog in a well because he isnt worldly since he took care of FL.
I am really liking Chen Yu Si that played Wu yuan.

However her dad's dubbing sounds out of character. Chemistry between FL and her dad is above average so far. But clearly FL does not take after her dad's looks lol.
