omg Wedding Impossible was such a shipwreck. I also thought it had a lot of potential at the beginning. I made it to their 1st official kiss scene and dropped it entirely bc the writing was a mess and I personally felt no chemistry between the leads. She had more chemistry with his brother imo.
Agree — Twinkling watermelon was not bad! one of the better dramas in recent days.

yea I was hoping for some dramatic running into HW's arms after the crazy car scene bc if they're building this whole drama off of cliches at least make them enjoyable. 4 episodes left, what are the chances we'll get our romcom moments while also addressing everything that needs to be addressed? D;

Lovely Runner is such a blessing !! I'm praying the writers don't kill it halfway through because I think there are a lot of great themes they can cover in 16 episodes to keep the momentum up. If you haven't seen Shining for One Thing yet I would highly recommend it. It's also a time-slip drama and Lovely runner reminds me a lot of SFOT. Another great time travel masterpiece is Someday or One Day

I'm starting to feel the same way despite still looking forward to each episode bc I think deep down I've been…
These are some flaws I can think of at the top of my head

First they never addressed the miscarriage and how they each handled that trauma. I wanted Hae-in to be honest with Hyunwoo as to why she reacted the way she did. He might have an idea of what her childhood might be like but he doesn't know the extent nor the amount of pain she's hiding under her tough exterior. Hae-in's reconciliation with her mom was also so brief that there was no emotional impact. They should've used the mom's annoying screen time to maybe unpack some of the child abuse and trauma she inflicted on her own daughter.
Also the intimate scenes are so inconsistent. They're clearly back together but they still act so distant at times. (Ex: in germany they shared the same bed and in this last ep they slept apart again).
The comedy also feels so redundant and unnecessary at times. I don't mind giving side characters screen time if it means fleshing them out into full fledged characters but they feel like they're there to give quick comedic moments that don't add anything to the experience.

I also feel like the climatic parts haven't been hitting as hard. Like ep 11 ended with the crazy car scene and then beginning of ep 12 she just brushes HW off to go off with ES? We got some character development for Hae-in when she publicly denounced ES but then she just gets swayed so easily by him that we're back at square 1 with her development. Or when HW almost gets killed but the way he walked away from that situation was as if nothing happened. If they're gonna make drama then make it hit hard bc I feel like we're just getting played. I was hoping for steady momentum like CLOY but I feel like this writer has been missing the dot over and over again ):

I agree with what other commenters said: first address what caused their marriage to crumble in the first place.
Also they keep going back and forth between being more intimate (sharing the same bed at night in Germany) to sleeping apart in ep 12 when it's clear they're back together.
The comedy also feels so redundant and unnecessary at times. I don't mind giving side characters screen time if it means fleshing them out into full fledged characters but they feel like they're there to give quick comedic moments that don't add anything to the experience.

As much as I’m enjoying this drama I’m also super frustrated by the inconsistencies in writing quality within the episodes. the most frustrating part is that we’re 12 episodes in and Hae-In and Hyun-woo’s relationship hasn’t even been truly addressed. is this really a romcom when we’re even barely getting the rom. Every weekend ends and all I can see are the missed opportunities. Writers really squandering the amazing cast and budget that they have!! 😭

the epilogue really be the one thing saving these episodes

I hope so but BWS has a history of picking projects with tragic endings so I’m bracing myself

Title Lovely Runner Spoiler
their picture at the end of ep 2?!? so she’s actually changing the future!! hopefully he doesn’t die again. the plot is moving extremely fast. I hope that means the writers have a lot in store for us and not lose steam halfway through.

Cho A and Yong Woo look good together but they're so dull and boring to watch!! It's like watching middle aged…
maybe this type of dating show isn't your cup of tea. this show definitely thrives on the wholesome vibes which is why CA x YW is such a big hit with fans of the show. seems like you prefer the drama-filled singles inferno-like shows.

but also I feel like ChoA hasn't had many opportunity yet to show her real personality. she's only gone on after hour dates with YW which is a shame. hopefully we'll get to see them go on a day long date with a lot of activities

yea I don’t get the sense that she’s into CH either. she’s prob more inclined to JH now that YW is out of the picture bc JH has a more kpop idol look which is her type. but she said this time she wanted someone more mature and can take care of her so it’ll be interesting to see if or how they get along. they both look like each other’s exes too

I think Grace’s character was inspired by the real scandal revolving around the Korean matchmaker Madame Ddu 😂

the ending for ep 10 saved it bc I was frustrated with 80% of the episode. nothing was happening and I was frustrated at how much screen time we lost with Hae In’s mom. I’d rather they give us hae in and hyunwoo’s mom moments. can’t wait for them to finally reconcile and give us cute romcom moments. we’ve been severely deprived !!

CH definitely has his own immature moments but overall he's shown more insight into the people around him than JH has. JH often times feels like he's living in his own little carefree bubble. Like his enthusiasm grilling meat and that whole meat master saga gives the vibe of a little boy wanting to get compliments from the people around him. His 2 interviews with the brothers also showed how little he's thought about why he wanted to date either ChoA or Jiwon. He did better with Jiwon's interview segment but it's quite obvious why CH was picked at the end. Just thinking back to the letters they wrote about their sisters, both very sweet in their own rights, but CH's letter gave more insight to ChoA as a person while JH wrote more surface level things like her academic accomplishments and how she's hardworking etc.

I would have to disagree with your assertion that CH hasn't had any connection with anyone. Romantically maybe but as friends I think he's connected with most of the housemates. JH on the other hand doesn't seem to have even strong friendship connections with most of the housemates which might be why you think he's with his sister so much. but everyone who had went on a date with CH had thought he makes great effort to talk to them and made them all feel very comfortable.

I see all the siblings sitting together/interacting all the time so idk what you're referring to lol.

At this point I can't see CA and JH having any sort of romantic chemistry but it would be interesting to see them go on a date and see how that plays out.

JH gives off very boyish vibes and it's not to say everything he does is immature. I think immature people can have their "mature" or wise moments. To be fair I think most men are quite immature until they hit at least 30 compared to women who tend to mature a lot earlier in life. And it doesn't make JH a bad man, I think he's a good person, sometimes gives off a bit of brainless vibes but it's a vibe nonetheless. I just think most of the women on the show seem to be more compatible with someone who exhibits stability, maturity and high emotional intelligence which is why I think YW has been the most popular.

I agree, I also think JS is a HUGE red flag and he's getting worse with each episode. JS's immaturity and JH's immaturity are on 2 different ends of the spectrum tho. JH's immaturity is more due to his carefree child-like innocence vs. JS's is calculative and self-beneficial.
If I were to rate relative maturity it would be YW > CY > JH >>> JS
I think YW and CY's family situations really forced them to mature more quickly compared to the other 2 male contestants who can afford to be a little more carefree/self-indulgent.

Again these are my personal opinion and everyone has their own favorite housemates. To each of their own

On My Sibling's Romance Apr 6, 2024
AH I'm screaming!!! CA and YW are both green forests building their little ecosystem. They're having the shortest dates with each other yet consistently choosing each other, my heart is melting for them. Are there even men like YW these days? He's confident but not arrogant and I can sense genuine kindness from him, it's so refreshing.

Poor CY, his stylist deserves jail for that hairstyle. I was hoping he would get the soft korean perm and keep his volume. I hope jiwon opens up to him bc aside from her there's no other good potential for him.

Jaehyung is a good guy but man I personally can't see him having a serious long term relationship with anyone. He's still too immature in a lot of ways. I think JY might be a good match for him bc she's still young and matches his energy well. If they end up getting into a real relationship they can slowly mature together. He and CA will not mesh well together romantically. She might be able to have fun w/ him but I can't see her taking him seriously as a man.

I hope jiwon's brother choosing YH wasn't scripted bc she deserves someone who recognizes her for her own charm. Really looking forward to seeing their chemistry

it's his inferiority complex !! I'm disliking him more and more with each episode and I'm SO glad CA rejected him.

YES! They fucking lost everything. Whoop! Only right for being such dumbasses.
I would have to agree 😭 they high key deserved to lose everything. aside from hae-in, every other family member has been so stupidly naive.
