Looks like Hae In will remember her past with Hyun Woo......The grandpa is way more disliked than the antagonists.…
I want the mom to have a huge wakeup call but I also hope Hae In won't let her close that easily. She can forgive but don't forget the literal child abuse the mother put her through. I hope we can get more of Hae In and Hyunwoo's mom too. The way she was crying "my baby" when they went looking for her in the rain warmed my heart. she really cared for Hae In like she was her own.
I think we really got to see the concept of good people sometimes do bad things and bad people can sometimes do good things. The difference between hyunwoo and eunseong is that hyunwoo made a mistake but worked hard for a redemption. Eunseong on the other hand might've been revealed to have 1 small redeeming action but at his core harbors evil intent. I'm glad the writers didn't fumble with hyunwoo's redemption from the earlier episodes and was able to get the viewers behind his character!
Soo cheol is so dumb that I'm glad he's getting this lesson to learn from. He's written to be a pure/innocent character but his mom destroyed all traces of intelligence when she decided to baby him his entire life.
I don't feel bad for grandpa — how the heck did he manage his empire for this long?
Hae-in's epilogue scene broke my heart. I'm just thankful she figured out BHW's true intention before it was too late. I don't even care if we get an unrealistic ending with her miraculously surviving. I'll take it if the means they get their happy ending.
I hope BHW ends up taking over the company because he's the only one in that family that injected any humanism into it. The entire queens family have all abused their staff one way or another in true chaebol fashion
ep 5 was indeed interesting. I’m so happy YW chose CA and his reasoning was sincere. He was also considerate to JW in his explanation. such a green flag!! In YW we trust. Out of the housemates, the two I’ve been most indifferent about are SS and JS. every other housemates have been growing on me in different ways but my impression of the two of them have been going in the opposite direction. Don’t get me wrong I don’t dislike them per se, I think they’re both good individuals but some of the things they do haven’t quite clicked with me.
It's a little odd how quickly obsessed se seung was to jungsub. In general these dating shows are so interesting bc the contestants get so wound up over someone they met just days prior. Is it bc they enter the show on the context of dating so there's an underlying current of needing to find a partner and "winning"? I see se seung having a lot of potential with cheolhyun from the new ep preview. Yongwoo and Choa better have a proper date soon! I also wish there was a different prompt for the nightly text messages that allow the contestants to get to know each other without the need to feel like it's a whole competition.
Yep. Tonally, this does not feel like a tragedy. And the writer specialises in bittersweet-but-arguably-happy…
I keep feeling like they'll end with her passing but leaving hyunwoo with a child of their own. I hope she survives but I think that will make the show take a hit on believability so I guess it'll depend on what the writer is willing to sacrifice. or I guess they can end the show with her still alive but her future is uncertain.
Am I the only one who wants the show to lean in on the drama aspect and less on the comedy? I think it fleshes the characters out a lot better and the comedy just feels like straight filler. Right now the script really needs to sell why these main characters are worth rooting for and we're barely getting there 4 episodes in. Also the SML is so annoying I just want less of his screen time lol
Strangely see more chemistry between the besties than the leads... I personally think the acting for lee ji han is a bit disappointing and lackluster. does it get better?
It’s good she is filming variety shows but she needs more dramas. Every day there is a new star in c-entertainment.…
tbh I hope she's taking the time to improve on her acting. I loved her in ALSB but all her subsequent dramas have showed really lackluster performance. I think she was getting heat for it too bc she kept bagging leads left and right after ALSB but performance was getting arguably stagnant or worse. am still rooting for her tho but I think she really needs to improve to justify getting leading roles in big projects
Is it just me or is anyone else bothered by the fl voice over thing? 😂
I got used to it quickly. its because shes korean and couldn’t really speak chinese at the time. I remember jimmy lin saying he needed to ask her what the last word of her lines were to catch on when it was his turn to deliver his lines hahas
surprisingly hilarious and endearing. this drama leans heavy on the comedy aspect so a lot of the heavier themes weren’t dwelled on. I think you’ll enjoy it more if you watch it through the lens of a romcom and not expect too much social commentart
