I started this, but the lenght is intimidating indeed. I like the dynamics between MC and Oriana Fallaci-like…
I am not sure when that happens. I only know that by episode 18 he is essentially engaged to another woman, who has no interest in marrying him (very rare in these dramas)
Interesting. I just learned that the woman who plays Wu Meniang's nemesis (well, one of them), Consort Wei, actually played Wu Meniang herself in an earlier drama 'Beauty World'.
holy moly Fei Wei So Cun is the author of so many novels made into dramas: 1)Sealed With A Kiss 2)Chronicles of Life 3)Li Jun Kai 4)Never Leave Me Alone (currently being developed) 5)Too Late to Say Loving You
Qu Yuan is one of the most insufferable, self-righteous people written I really can't wait for him to realize how his actions can ruin lives its because everyone has told him he is smart--so cocky--i don't care if he gets the law changed for slaves he really needs a piece of humble pie
alright so I am 15 episodes in and I can say that it does begin to move a bit slowly however his character becomes more fleshed out and he is clearly a hypocrite, bending the rules when it suits his needs but no one has really called him out and he is able to maintain this idealism because he is so well protected by family--how long will that last?
Adapted from the novel, Incomparable Phoenix (凤凰无双) written by Bing Lan Sha, Legend of the Heavenly Tear stars Wang Li Kun and Joe Cheng as the main leads. The story follows our heroine (Wang Li Kun) as she’s back-stabbed by her revenge-driven husband (Zhang Xiao Long) and kicked out of the family, and then saved by our hero (Joe Cheng), ruler of Qi State (?). She gets a makeover and a new name for her “rebirth” and plots her way to the throne as Empress
but it includes aliens; the trailer reminds me of the cell (us flick) meets ancient china and the locations look as epic as eternal love in terms of location. i think that people mistake the aliens as fairies.
anyone knows whether subs on hdfree are ripped from viki? because it says it's 100%, but it's not true…
my problem is with the fact that some shows just are no longer subbed (after you invest 20+ hours in it) I don't know how to support the subbers bc i can't speak Mandarin (I mainly watch Cdramas) and since Viki got rid of fan channels I don't know what the other alternative is besides waiting for licensing....which could never happen
Five minutes into ep 1 and crappy CGI galore...it's a Chinese drama alright
I hear a lot of people saying if you didn't like it i think its good you stopped early nothing more frustrating then getting 20 episodes in and realizing you don't like a show (happened to me with noble aspirations)
