i read the wiki page on the person the MC is inspired by and he had a tragic end (there was no mention of love) but the drama doesn't have tragedy listed so maybe they changed the end (they did it in the Virtuous Empress of Han....)
will the main girl end with the king? Since in posters you can see her with royal clothes
i was thinking the same thing. i know there are obstacles in their relationship; i was wondering if the king married her to control Yuan'er (theory) but it is anyone's guess i assume they get together (maybe not in a traditional way/maybe they have to sneak around to see each other)
been writing episode summaries; will go back and revise when full subs are released but episode 2 is better than the first episode. I am most interested in Qu Yuan's character development because he is presented as extremely smart and while he may seem a little naive he is really clever and seems to be suppressing a lot for the sake of image

Its actually being subbed :D
I can't really be mad at people for not watching Chinese dramas. I kind of avoided them too because I used to think they were a little campy. JOF changed that and now I am watching all the awesome shows I missed. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to be a little more open minded/patient!
Hopefully this get's subbed..So many good dramas out there, that haven't gotten subbed yet like Beauty's…
How do you do that? I don't speak or read in a foreign language (sadly) but if I can help I would love to try, or at least learn how could be interesting
I finished one of her novels (I can't find a translation of this one though) and it reminds me of of some of the romance novels from the 90s--people meet, have misunderestands leading to sadness and then reunited, sometimes with the female lead winding up with the male lead who they initially don't want or thought they wanted and realize they don't... a fun read
